CircleSeven 1960 Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Looks like Jummy is getting a co-anchor on the weekends. Â TVNewsCheck stated this morning that WTVJ news and sports anchor Adam Kuperstein will be the new weekend evening co-anchor/reporter at Channel 4. He will start in September.
wnbc2016 23 Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Gus Rosendale keeps getting passed over. I presume we might see Adam Kuperstein anchoring weekday newscasts in the coming years.
B2r4a6n 103 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Starting this Sunday (8/6), the morning line up on wnbc will be as follows...  6am: Today in NY 8am: Sunday Today with Willie Giest 9am: Open House NYC 9:30am: Today in NY 10:30am: Meet the Press  Wnbc was the only o&o to air Sunday Today at 9am... That's no longer the case.
CircleSeven 1960 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Why you want to put an LXTV show on at 9am? They don't want to compete with 7 on the 9am half-hour? In my view, that's pretty dumb. What's wrong with putting that show on after MTP or before the 6am news? 1
B2r4a6n 103 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 I don't get it either...I would like to see Meet the Press at 10am and at 11am they could air Open House or another program.
NowBergen 702 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Why you want to put an LXTV show on at 9am? They don't want to compete with 7 on the 9am half-hour? In my view, that's pretty dumb. What's wrong with putting that show on after MTP or before the 6am news? It currently airs at 8:30. Basically it is swtiching the 8 am hour with 9 am but reversing the time of LXTV starts. 5
TellyGenic 33 Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 The prodigal weatherman returns! Â Raphael Miranda has tweeted that he'll be returning to work at WNBC starting Saturday, August 26. 1
B2r4a6n 103 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Chuck Scarborough is not in tonight which I think is almost 3-4 weeks he's been off. Wondering where he is. Maybe he is just taking most of his vacation time now. 2
B2r4a6n 103 Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Chuck Scarborough is not in tonight which I think is almost 3-4 weeks he's been off. Wondering where he is. Maybe he is just taking most of his vacation time now. Â Chuck is back and he's been off air because he had knee surgery on both knees! He said he's back two weeks earlier than expected. Good for him!
TellyGenic 33 Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Adam Kuperstein started as the weekend co-anchor tonight at 6 and 11 pm with Jummy.
NowBergen 702 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Adam Kuperstein started as the weekend co-anchor tonight at 6 and 11 pm with Jummy. His start was delayed a week. He was reporting live from Miami for News4NY since he was still there. He did do other reports during the week prior to his anchoring over the weekend.. 1
nydem2015 52 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Chuck filled in for Stefan at 4 today. Never saw that before tho it makes sense since he's no longer on at 11pm. Never saw Chuck anchor tiny or at 11am and probably never will see that happen. 1
brianpr3 178 Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 natalie had her baby boy apparently her water broke live on air during a story about the Twitter character limit
Newsjunker95 32 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I'm guessing Jummy will be working everyday (since she's the current weekend anchor) due to Natalie's maternity leave
nynewslover 280 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 David and Stefan anchoring special coverage at 7.. surprised to see them together even though it's breaking news 2
Bill from Maspeth 33 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 To have 2 males co-anchoring a newscast today is quite rare IMO. 4
anchorman 96 Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Former WNBC anchor Sibila Vargas has turned up in South Carolina, as morning anchor for WSPA, the Nexstar owned CBS affiliate. Â She had left NYC to move with her husband to North Carolina. 5
NowBergen 702 Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 WNBC and WNJU has established a bureau in San Juan to continue stories of the storm ravaged territory and the slow recovery effort. A dedicated bi-lingual reporter has been hired who will report for both stations, and will also provide reports for other NBC/Telemundo O&Os across the country. Per TV NewsCheck. There was a report during the 5 pm hour on WNBC this evening.
Vlad 334 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 To have 2 males co-anchoring a newscast today is quite rare IMO.  It’s definitely rare today but it has been done, remember Roger Grimsby and Bill Beutel? They were quite revered back in those old days from WABC. 1
TJLamb0518 6 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 For good reason! I have said for the last few years I miss the old days of two anchors, a clock and JUST THE NEWS. No glitz, no editorializing, no "banter" to try and convince us these peopel are best buds off-camera....... Â Now, get off my lawn you damned kids! 2
Newsjunker95 32 Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 I know what you mean, it seems like today's anchors just cover what could be trending on social media
rkolsen 1686 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Was on Vimeo and came accross this WNBC/WNJU holiday sing along.  Here’s the 60 second WNBC version:    And a 30 second WNJU version:   3
Newsjunker95 32 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I ended up meeting Natalie Pasquarella that day. 2
brianpr3 178 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I ended up meeting Natalie Pasquarella that day. Â Tell us the story 2
Newsjunker95 32 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Tell us the story I happen to be around the concourse that morning as I saw her wearing a blue jacket. I asked if she was Natalie has she replied that it was her. She was in a rush, she ended up telling me that she will return on the air January 2 or 3 1
