hrc2016 2
You think Dana would move to weekends or be shown the door after 23 years? If she's shown the door maybe she can go to WPIX. cbs2idiots 24
I would definitely drop CBS2 News if they decide to let go Dana but again she is always the comeback kid. She is faithful and dependable while others come and go. Hopefully when she does leave it will be on her own terms. hrc2016 2
The only way they will keep her on as a weekday anchor is if they drop Chris and Marie at noon and have Dana solo at noon and 6 they aren't going to keep her just for the 6 pm slot. Dana has been regulated only to the 6pm newscast many times. The last time she only anchored the 6pm was last year July only this time she is the sole anchor of that newscast which makes a lot of sense. Maybe because of a lighter workload her contract probably was reworked to anchor some Sunday night newscasts in addition to her other duties. Dana is versatile and I believe CBS2 would keep her in some kind of capacity. I would probably be worried if they took her off the 6pm and regulated her only to the WLNY News at 9 which is struggling to make a mark on the ratings chart. IceManNYR 240
This morning & noon WCBS has Steve Overmyer subbing for Chris with Andrea Grymes subbing for Mary. Andrea Grymes was on with Cindy on the weekend am news. Has WCBS named Andrea the full time co-anchor for weekend mornings? NYNews 54
The rate at which the new lower right hand bug change from CBSNewYork.com, Twitter and Facebook handles is too quick and a bit annoying. BehindNYNews 147
I am very pleased that they changed the words to the open... no more "high definition" in the intro!!! The rate at which the new lower right hand bug change from CBSNewYork.com, Twitter and Facebook handles is too quick and a bit annoying. It is horrible... way to distracting. 24994J 5575
Would I be wrong to think that the package must be pretty good if the online plugs are the weakest link? I think we'll be okay. NYNews 54
Would I be wrong to think that the package must be pretty good if the online plugs are the weakest link? I think we'll be okay. The only thing I like about the new graphics is the 7-day forecast. It's very nice and clean. Other than that, the whole package seems a bit tabloid-ish, it seems like it would be a better fit for CBS' entertainment show OMG! Insider. From what I've heard last night, the new music is not that great either. The new graphics and music doesn't, in my opinion, reflect an authoritative newscast as the old package did. BehindNYNews 147
Very odd that in all but the 11pm newscasts the open says "Live from Studio 46" but at 11pm it says "Live from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City." Me personally, I would combine them and say "Live from Studio 46 at the CBS Broadcast Center." The question is going to be, who's going to subsititute them during that time? Well actually Rihannon isn't due until January or February of next year, and Lissette is due sometime in the spring. The only one who will be gone by christmas time is Natalia. As for filling in Summer is already there and I'm sure Marybel will fill in for Rihannon until she comes back, and someone else can do Lissettes duties when she leaves to go have her baby. AlNYTVRadio 21
For the second night in a row, the WCBS 6PM open is different. CircleSeven 1955
I wonder if they're going to change that once Daylight Savings Time ends next month, when it'll be jet black out there. Should that occurs, the nighttime design should be on the 5 & 6pm shows.
