I just saw another new promo for the new 11pm show that starts tomorrow night. The new set also debuts then and there will be a lot of news in the first 5 minutes that includes the 7 day forecast so viewers don't have to wait until the end of the show for it.

Do you think that the new FOX29 News at 11pm will get good ratings? I watched it and it is fast paced which makes the broadcast interesting. I think that it will be in 3rd place or a close second because the 10pm ratings are very strong.

Sports anchor Howard Eskin is leaving Fox 29 in September to give more time towards Eagles coverage on WIP.

Wow. He was my favorite sports anchor. I liked how he spoke his mind about what is really happening with Philly sports.

It looks like Kacie McDonnell is returning to the east coast. Maybe she will go back to FOX and be the new sports anchor since Howard Eskin is leaving?

She's going to be a sports reporter in New England.

Wow. In a week of anchors returning to previous stations (one-two), this is just mind-boggling.

I liked Drayton a lot when he was evening anchor during the turn of the decade, so he'll fit very well with the station again during early mornings.

Good Day Anchor Mike Jerrick had something to say about Kellyanne Conway.

I don't care if that was unprofessional.

He said what we were thinking, and he was absolutely right. Never loved him more after that.

Mike Jerrick has been suspended for a week

Can't say I'm surprised or shocked.

It was inevitable and Mike kinda got what came to him, since it was one of the 7 Words You Can't Say on Television.

Thank God it was for a week though.

In the possibly immortal words of the great(?) Tommy Wizeau:

"IT'S BOWLSHET!"

Well, I know they're two different stations, but Greg Kelly from WNYW has said way worse than that and was able to get away with it:

Innuendo and crude humor is one thing. As a WGN Morning News viewer, I know that stuff well. Straight-up saying 'bullshit' on-air is a suspendable offense, no matter the context. As much as we may agree with Mike's assertion, the suspension is justified.

One small thing...

The clip in question was from MONDAY. And nobody cared until it went viral on Tuesday morning. Had FTVLive not posted it, I bet he'd have been fine.

Not if people had been watching that day and contacted fox 29 to tell them what mike said. Im sure the people in the control room heard as well so likely he was talked to about it after the show.

Now is he suspended because he said what we all are thinking, his language or both?

Language most likely, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's both.

Have to agree, as much as he was correct, an outburst like that on the air is suspendable. Now, of course, this was the same company that let Ernie Anastos go pretty unscathed after he told us to keep fornicating poultry.
