HanSolo 467 Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I cannot imagine the internal fortitude it will take her to go back to work. I get it, life does indeed go on and despite our grief, we often must get back into routines. But few of us work in that kind of national fishbowl, with yet more scrutiny piled on amidst the uncertainty and wondering. Wondering, as she has stated, if her career was the reason this happened to her own mother must be excruciating beyond measure.
FiveNews 481 Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Peter Alexander announces his departure from Saturday Today. https://pagesix.com/2026/03/28/entertainment/peter-alexander-is-leaving-nbc-after-years-of-being-passed-over-for-top-anchor-jobs-source/ 1
MediaZone4K 2661 Posted March 28 Posted March 28 (edited) (Was typing my reply as yours came in lol @FiveNews) For the first time in a long time I watched Saturday Today. I thought about how long Peter Alexander was at the network, and whether he still commutes from DC to NYC on the weekends. I walk into the other room and over hear Peter's voice saying "this place has meant so much to me thank you to all my mentor" sounding like a goodbye. Then this.... https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/peter-alexander-exit-nbc-news-1236701929/ My market airs Saturday Today on a delay so I'm seeing the news after online article articles already posted it. The workload and missing out on family is totally understandable. That DC to New York weekly commute has got to be a grind. If Page 6 gossip is true about his frustrations from being passed over from multiple top positions, that's also understandable. Peter is a good talent, he would fit in many roles. even if he was passed over, he still been featured pretty prominently. https://pagesix.com/2026/03/28/entertainment/peter-alexander-is-leaving-nbc-after-years-of-being-passed-over-for-top-anchor-jobs-source/ Edited March 28 by MediaZone4K

Good get for MSNOW.
