MikePulse 319 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 At least the Eyemark is proportional. (Thanks NYC)
news89 468 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 I guess I know what I will be watching tonight.
Action Newsroom 1300 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 At least the Eye looks like it didn't suffer from a stroke anymore. The 3 on the other hand..
Rusty Muck 4405 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/video/category/spoken-word-wjztv/3789840-healthwatch-childhood-mortality-rate/ New graphics might air tonight! If not, take that logo down now, it’s gross with those graphics.   Looks more like they are trying to gradually phase in the new logo with the existing graphics and ride that hot mess out for a few more... months.  There's probably nothing TO debut, except for a reanimated newscast open (but with the same music, announcer copy and b-roll) and bug on the left-hand corner.  I actually don't mind the logo, now that the eye has been surgically repaired. But ... nothing can make this stretched-out Helvetica on-air presentation look any better, not even the soon-to-be former logo.
MyNewsArchive 197 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 No new graphics yet, but they got updated microphone flags
Georgie56 3326 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 GET THAT DAMN BUG OFF THE SCREEN WITH THE OLD GRAPHICS.
Journalist 894 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Just imagine if that was the "new" look we were all waiting for.
MyNewsArchive 197 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Looks like they haven't fixed the "CBS eye" on the monitor behind Denise Koch

Here's a screenshot (Ignore the recording bar)
CaptainNews 287 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 No new graphics yet, but they got updated microphone flags OH MA GOD ITS SO CLOSE!
Action Newsroom 1300 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Aahh! A hodgepodge of blue puke! Kill it with fire.
Rusty Muck 4405 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Aahh! A hodgepodge of blue puke! Kill it with fire. Could be worse... think a hodgepodge of red puke. Or purple puke.
Samantha 2902 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 At least the network intervened to kill that bad eye with fire.
Georgie56 3326 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Here's the updated intro:  Just as bad and cheap as it’s short-lived predecessor.
Guest Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Just as bad and cheap as it’s short-lived predecessor.  It's not terrible, it looks temporary. Honestly, the production music is probably the worst part of it all. Chroma Cues still lives on in the bumps, but a lot more production music being used for everything else. Looks like a phase out is imminent.
Rusty Muck 4405 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 That intro redo isn't bad... it's just generic and bland. The animation of the logo is actually decent, if not very brief and simple. Â As for the L3s, I'm befuddled as to why they didn't swap Helvetica for Gotham. It at least would reduce the ghastliness to a degree, as this look is clearly - but very slowly - headed for the retirement home.

Of music, it’s already phased out by them.
LoadStar 364 Posted January 10, 2018 Posted January 10, 2018 Here's the updated intro: Wow. That seems like something I'd see in a very small market affiliate, not a large-ish market O&O.
