ABC 7 Denver 1729 Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 So I'm checking out WFMY's hurricane coverage, and I'm wondering why didn't TEGNA develop scrolls that match the new graphics. The mix of old and new graphics are very tacky, IMO. AaronQ 282 Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Well here's WCNC's ticker during their coverage of Florence via their YouTube stream.
jbnews 345 Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 I've recently listened to a podcast with Meredith Conte talking about the graphics. She said they would likely be expanding the package in 2018. Anyone have any insight into that?

jbnews 345 Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Which podcast is that? It's the podcast called "Reinventing Local News." She mentions it at 15:11. http://www.troika.tv/insights/
Jess 1116 Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 KHOU’s using the new logo on its app now. It actually looks pretty decent in that application.
jbnews 345 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 KSDK has recently debuted new graphics for their 10pm newscast using the Tegna look. I haven't seen any other stations use these. Does anyone know if KSDK designed these in-house or did the whole group get them?

From what I’ve seen it looks like a DJI rig with a DSLR and a Teradek box.

KFMB doesn't promote their social media anywhere, the "News8" logo bug is static, and the font is WAY too big compared to other stations. Also, the scores like to overlap in the ticker during sports, and when they have stock information it's aligned against the very top of the blue bar.

NotInTV 63 Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Isn't St. Louis market #21? My mistake - I saw the Saints-logo-looking icon in the L3 and didn't even look up what city KSDK was in. I should do some more research.

MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 949 Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Why is KSDK using the fleur-de-lis?? It screams New Orleans over St. Louis
Georgie56 3326 Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Why is KSDK using the fleur-de-lis?? It screams New Orleans over St. Louis It’s on the official flag of St. Louis.
MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 949 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 It’s on the official flag of St. Louis. Never would've thought that in a million years... Thanks for the info :-)
TennTV1983 807 Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Now WWL needs these KSDK graphics. This could also work at WHAS as well. They already have the fleur-de-lis on their news desk, so why not go all in?
Georgie56 3326 Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Now WWL needs these KSDK graphics. Or they could replace the star transition already in the existing graphics in the fleur-de-lis.
Georgie56 3326 Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 The ghost of the G3 graphics is still haunting KVUE.
IEPH 45 Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Wonder how KWES and WTOL will adapt now that Tegna owns them both.
Weeters 1969 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 The WXIA logo discussion is going on in this thread: https://forums.tvnewstalk.net/topic/16889-new-wxia-set-and-logo/
tyrannical bastard 4033 Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 If you thought the new "11 Alive" logo was bad..... https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2019/4/10/rebranding-in-toledo If someone spent any actual time planning and trying to design this logo, they need to be banned from working in television graphics. I dread the day to see what they ever do with WNEP....
