Sounds to me like HBO was more or less interested in Boxing which is fine for them to drop Boxing because why should you broadcast Boxing when you're just not interested in the sport?

 

As for the production staff and the announcers, I hope whoever picks up those rights will hire them

DAZN already got Sugar Ray and Brian Kenny for its new deal with Matchroom, they're really going all-in for a newcomer, so I wouldn't be surprised if they try to pick up the HBO staff.

 

Either them or ESPN.

I have some nostalgia for HBO's boxing matchs, and I'm sorry to see them go. At least Showtime still has boxing matchs, maybe Starz will make a play for some of HBO's old contracts?
