rkolsen 1686 Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 So WMUR is getting a new set. It looks like it will be in a proper studio and a variation of the current Hearst sets but with the curved edges instead of the parallelograms the others have used. Guest Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Based on what little I see, that's going to be a very nice and probably very expansive set. They won't need a new set for a long time. Who is designing? Devlin?
caliwxdude 254 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 I'm sure this will look along the lines of what Devlin designed for some of the smaller-market Hearst stations, e.g. the sets that KSBW and KOCO recently received.
JosiahCubed 281 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 I'm getting some WTAE vibes from these pictures as well.
susquvalleywgal 521 Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Ugh. When will WGAL get this set upgrade? — Matt

Devlin has been the designer for the spark of sets they’ve done since WTAE. Ugh. When will WGAL get this set upgrade? — Matt I’d imagine WGAL would be one of the last - they got the set they have in 2012. All these so far are replacing early to late aughts. I’m surprised nothing has happened with WCVB. While the monitor walls they have were a good improvement it looks like a mishmash.
MidwestTV 1244 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I’m surprised nothing has happened with WCVB. While the monitor walls they have were a good improvement it looks like a mishmash. I'm astonished nothing has changed at KMBC yet. They're virtually untouched since moving into their new building in 2007.
ScottSchell 372 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I'm astonished nothing has changed at KMBC yet. They're virtually untouched since moving into their new building in 2007. They did a small upgrade to the set when they got the new graphics added the 9 monitor wall
TVCSD 3 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Devlin has been the designer for the spark of sets they’ve done since WTAE. Looks like another Devlin set for WMUR. I’d imagine WGAL would be one of the last - they got the set they have in 2012. All these so far are replacing early to late aughts. I’m surprised nothing has happened with WCVB. While the monitor walls they have were a good improvement it looks like a mishmash.
rkolsen 1686 Posted November 6, 2018 Author Posted November 6, 2018 WMUR got their set and graphics that are oddly similar to the diagrid 2.0 and yet the CBS chyron.
JacobC 44 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Just in time for the midterm elections with additional rock formations and video walls and the newsroom behind the anchors are no more.

MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 949 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 I'm enjoying the refresh of the graphics and the new set...
