WTTG security shoots man trying to break into their building

WTTG just aired the security camera footage. That guy had to have been messed up on some sort of drugs, I don't think this was anything anti-media related, especially with DC Police saying he was known by them very well.

The article has been updated with some additional information. This man was known to police and Fox executives, having made threats against both of them before. It is not known whether the threats were made at the Fox network or the local station.

The 38-year-old was unarmed; he was taken in critical condition to a hospital.

Thank God no one at the station was hurt or worse. I hope they throw the book at suspect so hard.

They already shot him...

Now you want to throw books at him?

We are a country of laws and due process.

But yeah...

The dude was crazy and had no problem kicking out tempered glass.

Was the guard hired because of the previous threat from this guy?

I would have shot the guy too.

Unless I was in California, and then I would have thrown some books at him and yelled "Shoooo Shooo, Go away bad man."

This is now the second Fox O&O that’s had their building been broken into this year.

Yep. Even if there is no correlation (I doubt there is) its still very sobering in this current climate.

Uhh huh.

This is now the second Fox O&O that’s had their building broken into this year.

and the third threatening situation at a Fox station in 2-3 years if you include the incident at WBFF a few years back (if my research holds up right).
