It looks they'll be the next to get the WMC/KLTV look... https://www.wlbt.com/about-us/contact/ Unlike in some of these other markets, they do have to worry about WAPT as well. They can't brush Jackson off as an inevitable leader.

But it seems that the smaller Raycom stations are getting assimilated into the borg. I hope they at least put some thought and effort into WBTV. That's practically their flagship inherited from Raycom and J-P. 1

AaronQ 282 Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 (edited) If I've to guess, since WBTV got some programing changes next month with their lifestyle programing ("QC @ 3", the replacement of Steve Harvey and "QC Mornings", which it's a rebrand of Morning Break), I'm wondering if they'll get some new graphics around that time.... https://www.wbtv.com/2019/05/31/wbtv-introduces-qc-more/ Edited August 25, 2019 by AaronQ
NWA_TV_guy 156 Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Looks like WLBT will debut new graphics at 5p today, according to this post and the comments.

TennTV1983 806 Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 How long has WLBT been using 360 as their news music?

Sir NMSA says they just started using 360 with these new graphics. They've been using The Rock previously. I wonder if Gray is going to start standardizing for their lower-market stations. GoldenShine9 1514 Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 I think WLBT could use a different logo too. The color scheme looks awkward with those graphics. A yellow or orange touch, like WVLT has, would look better.
CircleSeven 1960 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 (edited) WBTV implemented the new Gray graphics last night. Edited September 9, 2019 by CircleSeven 6 1

qunewsguy 378 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Does Gray mandate that stations must spell at least one word wrong per newscast per station? "Autospy" on WLBT and "alamanc" on WBTV. Embarrassing... 1 4
GoldenShine9 1514 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 It seems Gray doesn't have any real standards for the news layouts, other than weather. 1
AaronQ 282 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 My verdict on WBTV's new graphics, it's pretty damn good. Although it's something I'll get used to as well. 2
GoldenShine9 1514 Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 As for the graphics, this would be a good package for all Gray stations, although they should have the ability to change colors depending on local demands and logos (I know KKTV has a red base and WVLT uses orange in their color scheme). The blue base works well for WBTV though, but would look awful at WCSC, for example.
Axiom81 70 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 I'm curious to see if WMTV (Madison,WI) or WCSC ( Charleston) are in line for the graphics change.
