Morphtato 43 Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Based on certain elements in this, I have reason to believe WILX may be next in the pipeline for some new Gray graphics.

Why do they need a new set, when they just got that a few years ago? WVUE is in a VERY good place right now. They are essentially the #1 station for the first time ever after Tegna had trashed WWL and WVUE can do the things that WWL can no longer do on WWL. WDSU is a solid runner up, and well, sooner or later Nexstar will figure out what to do with WGNO.... Hopefully when change comes to WVUE, it will be a good one graphically, and the effect will be minimal in their on-air product. Over in Biloxi, even though the WLOX packages is a major downgrade from what they had before, they still dominate that market and make WXXV look like the 5th place station in a 2 station market. Lucas Welter 26 Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 KEYC in Mankato now uses a Gray(WXIX, WCSC, WAFB and WTOC) graphics. Also rebrands to KEYC News Now.
CircleSeven 1960 Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 (edited) It's getting a bit silly with all these News Nows..... Hawaii News Now, Dakota News Now, 16 News Now, etc.... They should've just call it KEYC News and just leave it at that. But now they've incorporated.... the play button. Edited February 4, 2020 by CircleSeven

TheRyan 560 Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 What a downgrade of a logo for KEYC. As if the WFAA Tegna-ified logo wasn't bad enough... 1

I'm not even sure what Gray is thinking here (IF they are even thinking at all) That and now all of the sudden KEYC is influenced by Tegna. This could very well end up being an epic disaster at KEYC. 1

Actually, former sister-station KJCT uses Counterpoint for its Daybreak (simulcast on KKCO) & 5:30pm shows. EDIT: KKCO & KJCT uses The Rock (the rhythmic cue without the NBC chimes) for "The 10". LexTVandRadio 418 Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Noticed this the other day on WKYT. Not sure if they are getting a new graphics? It's not the big blocks.

No, they don't need a new set. Now that I think about it, the main Mardi Gras festivities are right around the corner. IMO, it's a good time to unveil the new graphics. GoldenShine9 1514 Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 (edited) Is there any way WRDW/WAGT can get the new Gray graphics? Their current graphics are terrible (especially with weather), probably the worst of any Gray-owned station. Then again, that has always been one of the weakest stations in their portfolio.
