24994J 5664 Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Discovered just now, weeknight meteorologist Duffy Atkins is one of those being let go.
Spring Rubber 718 Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Looks like 6pm on New Year's Eve is the end of the line for CLTV. That's when the program guide lists SIGN OFF for the channel. Politics Tonight will be the final show at 5:30pm. Kind of a shame; I was hoping they would end with a normal newscast. Instead, the final newscast will be at 2:30pm. I set a DVR recording for both.
Georgie56 3336 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Feder says that Lisnek will give a farewell statement at the end of Politics Tonight.
speed053 38 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 That cake looks good. Just watched the final newscast today, and I'm going to miss CLTV.
TheRolyPoly 2641 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 The final half-hour of CLTV's existence has started. By the time many of you will read this, the channel will be no more.
Spring Rubber 718 Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Here we go, time for the end of an era. I still have fond memories of CLTV from the 90s during my childhood. :( Wow, they cut Paul off mid-sentence, at least on Xfinity, and went to sign-off. Not sure if it's the same for everyone. How embarrassing. Not a pretty send-off at all.

CircleSeven 1963 Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 CLTV dropped this vid of veteran reporter Marcella Raymond signing-off on one of its last newscasts. Was this the 2:30pm show?

Was this the 2:30pm show? Had they repuposed the old WGN set? Also, I like that they plugged High Velocity V.1 in the final newscast.

24994J 5664 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 And after 27 years, meteorologist Tim McGill is out, too.
CircleSeven 1963 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Konrad did a "small" tribute to McGill on the morning show yesterday (1/7). I'm surprised the higher ups at Nexstar would allow this.
