Jascarter 18 Posted December 25, 2023 Author Posted December 25, 2023 Agree. It gives the show a lot more depth and looks so much better visually. Don’t know why they can’t go back to on set every week. 1

I assume the set used for Christmas is in storage the rest of the year.
bmasters1 408 Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 In two weeks, Sunday Morning will have its 45th anniversary (45 years to the day since the first broadcast in 1979); will the show do something to commemorate, or will it be just a run-of-the-mill broadcast?
Jascarter 18 Posted January 28, 2024 Author Posted January 28, 2024 Beautiful tribute to Charles Osgood today. And really made you see how much the show is a former shell of itself. Charles was so curious and seemed to bring that curiosity into the show each week. Jane Pauley really doesn’t do that, and is there to really just introduce the stories. If Charlie was still hosting, it would still be on set. Otherwise where would they put the piano??? 2 2

Toward the end, Charlie (who I loved) did little else but introduce stories. Jane turns a package now and then. Dan Rather was on CBS Sunday Morning today, his first appearance on the network since his 2006 ouster. The Evening News has remained unstable in the 19 years since Rather left the desk. MediaZone4K 2233 Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 (edited) I thought Sunday Morning was going to address why they've been on green screen long term. Jane just said they're on green screen for today's "By Design" episode so they can change between backgrounds done by a featured design firm. SB: Sunday Morning uploads stories to their YouTube 5 to 10 minutes after they've aired. This really gives people no incentive to watch the show live on TV. SNL is the same way. Jascarter 18 Posted May 19, 2024 Author Posted May 19, 2024 yeah, pretty disingenuous to say they are using green screen today, but act like they don't normally do so. Usually for By Design shows, they are on location somewhere. 1
