Looks like since about Wednesday or Thursday of last week KXII has been on a temporary set looks like Gray is finally getting them a new set they were on the previous one for several years (at least 2008) pictures include the old set with the last set up used and the temporary set ups.

Those early-mid 2000s Gil Jiminez sets never aged well. I'm glad to see KXII finally ditch it.

 

I wonder how many Gray stations are left with a Jiminez set...

FINALLY after months on the temporary set they will debut the new set this evening KXII posted a weather update and you can see a glimpse of the set.

The building is small as it is they didn’t have a lot of room in the studio as it was with the old set.

This is also an agriculture-driven small market that sees a lot of severe weather, so weather coverage dominates. Makes perfect sense to tightly integrate the weather center into the main news set since they'll be in wall-to-wall weather coverage at least a few times each spring.
