they just hired a new meteorologist.  I presume this is for weekend mornings.  Don’t know much about him so we shall see.

 

They need to hire a new sports anchor like yesterday.  They haven’t had one in two months.

Troy Bridges was laid off from WKMG awhile ago.

Troy Bridges is weekend mornings.  I believe Karen Carter will be on weekend mornings when it debuts.   They are close to finally hiring a new sports anchor.

Troy was a popular meteorologist for like 15+ years at WKMG-TV Orlando. He used to work in OKC before that I believe and was a chief at one point at KLRT Little Rock when their news operations got going in 2004 (when KLRT was separate from KARK at the time).

Right now, Troy Bridges does the morning news, Kylie Miller does noon and 4 p.m., Ahmad Bajjey does the evening and late news and Stacey Duford does the weekends evenings. Haven't seen Karen Carter recently.

I think Karen Carter got the shaft.. She was there before any of the current meteorologist if I remember correctly... Whenever I watched the weather updates, it was always Karen Carter and then Kylee when she came...  Unless it was truly her choice...

I am watching CBS News Detroit right now and Karen is still there. She is pregnant. Guess she is on maternity leave and just came in to do the weather today.

BIT OF AN UPDATE: CBS News Detroit is now using the new ticker and logo matching the look of all the stations in the group and they have hired Rachel Hopmeyer as their new sports anchor and reporter.

Looks like Paul got demoted and is now replaced with someone with actual ND experience.

Shaina Humphries is now pregnant.  Her due date is in the fall according to her Instagram.  Rachelle Graham is pregnant again as well.
