I just speak the truth, SS.

When he was younger and working locally, Sam was a beauty - and knew how to dress. It's not his fault that he's aging - aren't we all? It's just a natural thing. I think he just hasn't reached that same conclusion in his own mind.... you can't pull off the same style at 49 you did at 29....

Well, he's attempting to dress like it's 1964 as he pushes the age of 54.

I don't think Sam is that old, according to various sites, he was born on August 13, 1961, so that would make him 49, Today!

SS - you'll appreciate this tweet from Phil Lipof:

Outlet shopping... the best! Got some great new ties today... all of which you will see in the weeks to come.

Hm...will he go nice and thick or pull a Sam Champion Fashion Victim and go shoestring skinny. We shall see!

Following his tweet posted earlier, Phil really has stepped it up. Besides new ties, he's taken to wearing 3-piece suits on the air, and looking quite dapper in them, too:

He also wore a great suit doing his election night coverage in New Jersey.

Wow. Absolutely spectacular. You know your outfit is SMOKIN when you make Jeff Smith look ordinary by comparison!

Throwing this out there... and wondering what SS thinks of my tie selection today. I usually don't go for the solid color look... but I thought this worked since there was some pattern. Thoughts?

It is a very nice tie. It JUST squeaks by the "a bit too busy for TV" limit, but it is fine since the rest of the outfit is subdued. A very nice, neat and professional look for you...you are in no danger of being on the SuitSnob Jackass List.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

Chris Wragge and his SuitSnob-Approved wardrobe are now going to be the new hosts of the CBS Early Show 5 days a week! And who was the one who defended his skill and talent when he first moved from the sports desk to the anchor chair? Oh wait...that was ME!!!!! I even overlooked his fashion missteps at the time!

Because I'm a glutton for punishment just thought I would give Suity a heads up, for the New Years Eve morning show I'm wearing a black velvet blazer. :) Everybody is getting blinged out this morning!
