Did NBC10 show the parade also? I think Philadelphia parades and Rick Williams & Cecily Tynan go hand in hand. In the past I have watched several of the 4th of July events - but to be honest, this year I turned it on and since I don't normally watch NBC10, didn't know who the two hosts were (I know they are the anchors), so I cared a lot less, then tuned out. Perhaps channel 6 realized they don't need these types of events -- or the lottery -- to stay at the top.

Judging by the "generic" markings on the truck...just "NBC" and "Telemundo"...makes me think this may be used by several O&Os in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Jesus. What is that like NBC 10's version of the Bloom Mobile? Edit: it's the only dual polarity X band Doppler radar on wheels. I think it's a bit of overkill - is the weather in Philadelphia that bad to warrant this? Or will they end up parking it somewhere and use it as their own radar? I wonder if the data will be displayed /rendered on site or if they will send back a compressed data feed like a typical radar site would?

I think you meant to spell it as TEGNA not TENGA (the confusion is still around, but that's a different topic), and I agree with you on that one. CBS should either invest in WJZ for once with a new set and new graphics or sell it off to TEGNA (I would say they could sell WJZ to Tribune, but buying it would put it over the cap).

Well, it looks like Ruben Galvan has returned to San Diego and resumed his position at XETV. Saw him reporting from Comic Con this morning. I had also seen marching in the pride parade on Saturday but I didn't think anything of it. Jim Patton and Lynda Martin also marched.

i think they should sell WJZ they don't invest in it at all its a waste someone like TENGA or TRIBUNE WOULD INVEST IN it what tv stations Keep The Same Set for almost 20 years (WITH NO MAJOR UPGRADES) or NEW GRAPHICS

One would assume that management doesn't believe he's the problem which why he has outlasted 4 different co-anchors. They are willing to back him no matter what the reason behind their ratings woes are.

Waking up at 2 am doesn't help with ANY health issue. I'm in good health and it would be close to unbearable for me to wake up at 2 am on a regular basis.

Well, alright then. I clearly stand corrected. I'll take my finger and point to the Mayor's Office from now on. And I'm happy that Vai and Tracy had a great time. I've said that I figured that they did great. On the orher hand, I am NOT as obsessed with WPVI like you think everyone else is seemingly. I watch WPVI as much as I do WCAU, and I watch both on an infrequent basis. And this coming from the guy who previously had a name with Action News in the frame responding to the guy calling me out whose name is shared with the station he's defending here. And your rant about WPVI wasn't much other than saying that many people are obsessed with it. Which is ironic. I should apologize to Comcast for my mistake should they notice and/or care. You do know that the rain wasn't even that heavy that night, right? I watched a broadcast years ago where it was raining that time and the chopper was still used after the rain dissipated. So yeah, I can understand if they kept it safe anyway. Thank you for calling my bluff. As ridiculous as my words now seem, this backlash was deserved. I'll make sure to take my reprimands to Mayor Kinney soon when I'm volunteering at the 6abc Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Brian - is that you? There are PLENTY of other people at CBS more qualified than Conybeare. He was on this past weekend with Grymes and it was pretty unbeareable (misspelling and pun intended)

Why do they need another weather vehicle? First it was Stormforce10 then it was the Jeep Stormforce 10 and now it is this.

The proper props? I'll say what no one else will say. There is nothing better about her or Dana than your average anchor. She or Dana have done nothing to improve the ratings and have been lucky they haven't been canned over the years.
