I dig KCBS theme especially the close. So catchy. KTLA 1990 theme not only represents such glory of an era, but hands down ranks up there as one of the greatest themes in the market of that era, if not of all time anywhere. I don't mind KNBC's opens at that time. Short but to the point, open itself is 'catchy' with cutaways + motions. KCOP's open was ahead of its time. It was like a tv show with cult following (think of a cooler 'broadcast news' or 'network' perhaps, lack of better examples, sorry) Man if there was any other place to be born other than NYC (and i wouldn't trade that for anywhere else) it would be LA. Life there at that time (or any time) must've been fun.

God, morning television has become so terrible. I could only stomach so much of Today before having to turn it off but I was surprised to not see a package of some sorts chronicling Hoda’s career and time on the show as she transitions into the co-host role. Those type of pieces seem to be a standard on the show as they’ve done one for Matt, Meredith, Ann, and then Savannah when they became anchors on the show.

Man! That KTTV open is CLASSIC! KTLA ruled 10pm at that point (still does to an extent), but I always tuned in for that open. Devine, Thompson and Garcia were magic together. They got even better when John Beard joined the team. I miss the old "FOX TELEVISION NEWS" newsroom studio. Their old building on Sunset Blvd was demolished many years ago (across the street from KTLA...5746 Sunset Blvd vs. 5800 Sunset Blvd), but so many memories there! It is now a high school. $20 to anyone who can find me a clean open from the 1993 Good Day LA Susan Lichtman/Antonio Mora era.

Doesn’t the station typically run newscasts at that time? I thought the breaks are triggered by the station while they were live (either played out locally or via a trigger or command to Colorado).

hell my thoughts on non competes obviously if you resign with time left in contract the non compete should go for the length of contract left if your contract ends on its own or the contract is terminated there should be NO NEED for a non compete

Who wants to sign off on this letter? Dear TEGNA; Your purchase of KFMB is a win for you, because the station ratings are tops in the market. I'm sure you've seen their revenue projections, budgets, and more. Yes, your company changing the business model and doing new things that are consider ["innovative"] However, one would like to question some of the changes you've made with Belo Stations when you purchase them several years ago. Please, listen because these are just some coaching points. STOP FUCKING UP GOOD STATIONS. You've gotten many gems tv stations and you have turn them into BIRD DEW meaning SHIT! Let take a look at KXTV, WWL, KENS, KING, KHOU and including your own stations that were apart of the Gannett umbrella WXIA, KSDK, WTSP, WUSA, KVUE. Please, don't let your consultants gut KFMB like you've done other stations. Please, once again STOP FUCKING UP GOOD STATIONS AND DON'T FUCK UP KFMB! We know your track record, and it not pretty. Here hoping you don't cut Barbara Lee Edwards' salary, because we know it always awesome sauce when you can make millions and the talent has to take a cut and etc. Again, DON'T FUCK UP THIS ONE, the reason why? Wow, it's like Christmas dinner tucking into all of this. KSEE's all over the place. I got a 6pm open for KNSD for...something. Also, wow, the KFTV and KERO opens are definitely new!
