  1. Does it have a straw included? I like those with HD plastic straws some of them come with, but I would need a line on replacement straws. And NO....fast food straws are too short and brittle...and those long red 7-11 big gulp straws crack too easily, and the green ones are too short. And just to stay on topic... I will need the straws for my Yeti when I watch TV News. "Create More...Complain Less." (Shell Rotella Commercial)

  2. From the land of rarities, here's one: a promo for WTHR's 10pm early prime newscast: We already had an open: Here's a bit more about the end of this experiment:

  6. WWL will be getting the new look sometime next month; I saw an ad before the weather segment of the 10 pm newscast promoting a new look for the morning show.

  8. You're absolutely right, there is nothing funny about it nor is it a situation to make light of. However, we have expressed this in many threads before that Eat News isn't to be taken seriously. He makes jokes. He's entertaining. He's the comedic relief of this forum. Look, I understand where you're coming from, but you shouldn't get so worked up over things you can't control.

  10. That was quick. I just saw this on my feed and was about to post it here. Did find a 2003 promo WBNS aired for a CBS Town Hall special on domestic violence hosted by Dan Rather

  13. I researched online, and that was from September 4, 1974, the same day as the Paul Moyer newscast uploaded a few month ago. Which means the clip uploaded today was the very first newscast with the updated Newservice logo, used until they became NewsCenter4 in March of 1976. Here is the 6pm Newservice from earlier in the day, with the original interlocking NB-KNBC and box 4 logo from 1968:

  17. Agreed. It's a Sunday newscast, which is usually just all whip-around wire regurgitation stories and 'here's what you missed on the Sunday talk shows, if you care' on most weeks. A weekday, that would have been reason to be concerned. Unless big breaking news occurred on Sunday, there's no reason to worry, and they probably had a backup crew in New York ready to go if they had to go into serious mode.

  19. NewsCenter Maine appears to be a Maine Corporation as the name appears in suit that they've filed against the (Maine) Department of Health & Human Services for access to files in an ongoing child abuse case. http://www.newscentermaine.com/article/news/local/news-center-maine-files-lawsuit-against-dhhs-demands-access-to-child-case-files/97-529918377

  20. Not to mention Charlie Van Dyke also did a round of VOs around this time. The open VO progression goes like this over 10 years: (both 1985 theme and early NS2001) Thompson (up to the 1993 switch from NS2001 to the custom "Friends You Can Turn To" theme music) Clausen (after the affiliation switch)

  22. I love Heartland Media but this makes me want to hate them, even though I don't want to. Using very old Nexstar graphics with cheap logo making, that sucks.

  25. Because the Oscars really aren’t News... it’s fun. News is things that actually effect people. How does an Oscar personally effect anybody? Does anyone actually go postal over it or does a family not eat over it?
