  6. I don't personally see him wanting a Monday-Friday live nighttime show at this point in his career, but hey, who knows.

  7. Yeah Chris was actually news anchor for Today for several years in the early 80s.

  8. Great news for Karen Hua, but the other woman she was posted with in the NBC10 press release is much bigger news (and maybe a slight shock tbh). Frances Wang is a pretty big social media presence for a news anchor/reporter and she's really fully embraced every community she's worked in (Miami, where she is now, and Sacramento, where she was before). So this is a pretty big splash, and maybe there's something they have in store for her in the pipeline. Overall, nice to see new AAPI newsies join the station after Denise was unceremoniously "cut off," if you will, during COVID last year.

  10. Chris Wallace is leaving Fox News for the new streaming service CNN+. About time. I will say Chris was one of the more balanced hosts at FNC -- along with Shepard Smith -- as they weren't afraid to diverge from the network narrative. I was surprised to find out he was an NBC and ABC news anchor in the past upon looking at old news clips online, and I liked what I saw. As for CNN+, I get that screaming is the new wave but IMO CNN needs to improve their actual tv network. Furthermore how long will this era of streaming services overkill last? https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/12/12/media/chris-wallace-leaving-fox-news/index.html

  12. I can't say I'm surprised. I read that he expressed criticism at some of the opinion content that has come out of the organization, so I guess his departure at the end of this contract is the next logical step in the process.

  15. I think the way it works is that if an entity is approved to buy a public company, all the current shareholders are forced to sell so the new owner owns the company 100%.

  16. I’ve always admired Bret Baier, Martha MacCallum, Bill Hemmer and Chris Wallace for what was a earnest attempt at balanced reporting. As of late they’re starting to show their stripes by entertaining “the steal” conspiracy. Interestingly KDFW often (or at least used to) remind viewers that they’re separate from the FNC.
