  1. It's a fantastic reboot of their old-time logo. I think it's going to be the next design trend as stations resurrect and re-boot their heritage branding because of how homogeneous and "networked" broadcast affiliates have become. WKBN doing what they did a decade ago was another great example of using their heritage "WKBN" sign as part of their logo.

  2. At least it wasn't something like this..... (which actually applies since this is how state routes are signed in Kentucky)

  3. I would like to see this old/new blend trend happen! Wish stations could add their own spin on the corporate graphics to add a nice balance between uniqueness and uniformity.

  4. And? This is the nexstar thread. Deal with it.

  5. WAVE fixed up its own in-house take on LIM4.1. They don't like Gray's "corporate graphics", a hodgepodge of garbage looks here and there, replaced frequently. New look?

  6. At least a third Trump run would statistically help CNN's ratings (looking historically)

  7. New graphics as well? 2019-2020 look refreshed for VizRT? Either way, this is shaping up to be a great rebrand.

  8. WAVE has already debuted a spot with the logo on their building, station gear, and mic flags. The logo treatment at the end of the spot is great. https://vimeo.com/662689785

  9. Hello. Honestly, I doubt that all the Disney Channels across America and Canada would be closed down for good.

  10. You think Disney Channel will go away entirely? If so, it would be the end of an era. I know in other countries it's been shut down. Losing VH1 and TV Land would also stink as they were both very popular for years. MTV2, BET Her and NickMusic were never that popular to begin with.

  11. After almost 4 years, WOIO may be finally retiring the Raycom graphics package and the "19" is getting a major change. As seen during the 4pm newscast, here it is:

  12. Maybe, just maybe, we shouldn't be taking the word of the guy that doesn't appear to have anything to do with 6abc, and who is trying to walk back his unfounded statement. Just a thought.

  13. I just mean more of the fact that this can happen at all… I believe the only other states this is really even possible are California and South Dakota.

  14. Lets see what this means. Less partisan I hope. I liked the early to mid 2000s era of MSNBC (when they were the news source on the MSN home page). Thats when the network had opinionated analysis, particularly in primetime, but still had a strong news presence. Their New Jersey studio beat any modern set in cable news.

  16. That is sliiiiiiiiick... It's also a new design riffing off the 1960s version (with the sine wave in the A).

  19. It's all over the news in the Bay Area. It's Frank Somerville. Sucks for him, but no need to withhold his name. If he didn't want to make the headlines, he shouldn't have gotten behind the wheel while intoxicated. I hope he gets help. www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/bay-area-tv-anchor-frank-somerville-arrested-on-suspicion-of-dui/

  20. KWQC TV 6 in the Quad Cities added this yellow/orange banner in their newscast! Could this be a sign that new graphics could be instore? The current graphics have been in use since 2019 and they used a short-lived graphics package currently used by KCRG TV9 in Cedar Rapids.

  21. Philly and America's longest-running local news theme (and a record shattering one) Move Closer to Your World will turn 50 next year. That's the same year that Gardner will leave 6ABC.
