  1. I can't say I blame Jaycee. I too hate mornings

  2. I'm wondering how much of the changes here are due to cord-cutting as opposed to fluctuations in population.

  3. I hope you were being sarcastic. That's not Enforcer. That's the CBS O&O package from SAM.

  4. But that's my point. What does Your First Alert Station mean? It's like hearing Your Gliblorm Fwam Station. It means nothing.

  6. I"m surprised CBS didn't try and do this 20 years ago, when they could have seen the writing on the wall for Guiding Light and As The World Turns. Passions was still on the air as the newest of the daytime serials and would last until right before CBS pulled the plug on the other shows. Sort of ironic that the filler show (The Talk) is being replaced by a soap opera.

  8. I copy and paste them from a picture of it so my phone might have mis-translated some one the words I noticed it read the lowercase L in “Tulsa” as an I so when I copied the text over, it says “Tuisa” but everything was spelled correctly on my source documents. i can promise you it’s all very legit.

  10. That's sad. He was one of the good ones. You could always count on him to be a class act on weekends with the occasional and unexpected quippy remark.

  11. I will say it... one of the greatest American journalists of our time and multiple generations and one of the best Asian American journalists to have ever done it. This is her on being a role model and all those women you see in this video pic? They're all named Connie... all named after her. It doesn't get any better than that.

  12. But adding F1ST ALERT STATION only confuses it. Is it F1ST ALERT STATION or Heartland News? Both are branding. Neither is a slogan.

  13. These people clearly don't understand the power of branding. Fucking clueless.

  14. KCAL+ officially launched today, on channel 9.6; the channel's listings (via TitanTV) aren't yet listed on the CBS Los Angeles website. KCAL also has yet to straighten-out the listings of their subchannels, with the programs on KCAL+ listed on 9.2 instead of on 9.6, with the station's other subchannels (The Nest, Comet, HSN, QVC) also displayed incorrectly. What I can tell you is that they have a three-hour game show block from 2-5pm: Funny You Should Ask, the new Flip Side, and Family Feud, with a hour of Hot Bench following from 5-6pm. Edit: I came across program listings for KCAL+ via TVGuide.com (search for 9.6), and as PhillyWatch mentioned before, it's all extra runs of current syndicated programming from 2 and 9, and from 7pm to 4am, MeTV Toons occupies the rest of the broadcast day. Of course, MeTV Toons is already broadcast in the region over KSFV 27.1 and KAZA 54.3 full-time.

  16. It's not hard, it's just cheaper. I do agree that newscast voiceovers (and talent opens) add extra flavor. Look at how much Scott Chapin's voice added to WSVN or Howard Reig's raspy voiceovers for NBC.

  17. KDFW is adding a 10am extension of Good Day known as the “The Ten” on September 30th. Live with Kelly & Mark moves to 11am, Sherri to 1pm and Jennifer Hudson to 2pm. Person, Place or Thing moves to 12:30pm on KDFI.

  18. @MarkBRollins88_v2, I'm seeing a number of typos (such as "Serasota", "Molbourne", "Balimore") in your initial top-30 post. Are you sure you didn't get that list from an unedited draft? Maybe it's time to merge the existing top-four boards into a single top-five or even top-ten board.

  19. With all of this in mind, I motion @Weeters to sunset the ‘Philadelphia News’ forum and replace it with a ‘DFW News Forum’
