  1. Bringing this up here because it involves Robin Roberts... Her, her brother Lawrence and yes, her sister, the legendary Sally-Ann Roberts in her post-WWL days in retirement, were all on Tamron Hall the other day to promote their new children's book. Glad to see Sally Ann again in her retirement and it shows the love Robin has for her family on doing great things. EDIT: Here's GMA talking about it.

  2. Time to sunset the 2023-24 syndication thread and talk about the 2024-25 season here (new shows, station scheduling changes, etc.)

  3. Definitely Channels is your best choice in this situation; it's mainly built for Mac, provides proper TV listings and I've used it for four years and rarely had any headaches running it on my Mac Mini or anything else I want to stream from it as a server through the house and on the road. It is a paid product listings-wise at $9/month but I find it indispensable and you don't have to worry about setups or schedule XML files and configuring things unless you'd like to explore their Docker plug-ins or custom content lists.

  5. Denver San Francisco Fort Myers/Naples San Diego Seattle Spokane From what I Can tell by looking at the shows website, these are the 6 markets that don't air the program.

  6. I had the opposite situation. I moved from Cablevision's NY systems, which were quite advanced to St. Louis and had to settle for Charter. Besides poor installation that had to be redone, and outright lying, there was very little HD, slow internet and worse. It was a definite step way down. After they ddi some work in the area, my internet kept going out every 45 minutes or so (this was even before streaming). This was 2005 and 2006. Ironically the then VP HR for Charter, lived in my complex, though that is a role that is extremely temporary with that company. After lots of investigation, digging and more, they were incapable of finding the issue. I finally threw them out for DirecTV and ATT internet (slow but at least reliable). Horrendous experience and biases me against Charter today. Note I also moved away several years later back to Cablevision territory, which has gone down hill since Altice purchased it. What it does mean there is no more speculation that Charter will purchase Altice at this point. Their only partner seems to be Comcast, which in NJ would make a lot of sense since Charter's area is very limited right along the river.

  7. Not to get off topic too much, but my sister avoided the Dorr tornado by a mile, and my parents avoided the Lansing one by 1/2 mile!

  8. WALA Mobile 1982: evening edition from when Channel 10 was the NBC station of that coastal Alabama area; opening has visual billing of the talent, but no announcer (also, Glenn Robinson is in for Glenda Webb)

  9. You think Chris Cuomo is Cheap? Awe. That's quaint. Also, yes I know the ad demo is abandoning linear television for streaming (which can be FAST), but generally, even without the key demo, News Nation would be delisted from the industry audience metrics. In fact, it does so poorly and consumes so many resources for itself and in a parasitic fashion from local stations, that I don't think it's providing any ROI, even if Nexstar demands it be carried as a sidecar to its local stations in retrans agreements. Local Nexstar stations have better metrics, both inside and outside the ad demo. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2025/4/24/close-to-hashmarks

  10. Looks like KPRC aired its 10am newscast for the last time on Thursday (preempted today due to schedule shuffles related to the Olympics...good luck, America!). After the (rather flighty) Olympic torch in Paris is extinguished, Drew Barrymore will be replacing it at 10am, a far superior time to 3am purgatory on KIAH. Rather surprising considering Drew is essentially a CBS property and Kelly Clarkson has her own talk show produced by NBC (and airing on Fox O&O KRIV) that very well could crowd Drew out should KPRC inevitably become an NBC O&O in the case of a Graham selloff not unlike what the Hobby Family did 30+ years ago to KPRC. Also noticed KHOU is airing Wheel of Fortune ads with Ryan Seacrest. Looks like that's staying on KHOU instead of moving over to KTRK to join the rest of the ABC O&Os that have aired it for years.

  11. Saw that WKRG has picked up Judith Sheindlin's latest venture Judy Justice, and they will be airing it at 3pm weekdays, pushing their hour of Big Bang Theory repeats likely over to their CW station WFNA once and for all. WPMI has been airing Judge Judy repeats at 3pm for the past several years. Are those continuing, and I wonder if WPMI is keeping them if so?

  12. WADL will be airing Two & Half Men from WKBD come the fall.

  13. Even though a lot of us overlap in both, I trust what I see here more than Radio Discussions' Syndicated TV board. Someone is saying there that Dr. Phil reruns are indeed returning this fall, and that Two and a Half Men is being pulled from syndication. Are either of those correct?

  14. True Crime News will be airing on WZZM as they have the stations up on the website no times have been given for many of the TV stations other than a handful. Which I think True Crime News will air at 7:30PM replacing Daily Blast Live in my opinion on Sep 9, makes sense that the TV stations are up since the website has been up since The Crime Watch Daily days.

  17. ICrime was renewed for season 3 I read about it all the way back in Jan or Feb of this year Vargas is still host of the show. I'll check out Crime Expose with Nancy O'Dell always liked her when she was on Access Hollywood & sometimes would watch ET. I liked Crime Watch Daily I'll also check True Crime News which I wonder if that will be aired in the afternoons or in the access prime to compete with Inside Edition late night as well.

  19. Is I-Crime still in production from Trifecta and is Vargas still attached? I know it's on WBNX's schedule, but not sure if it's new or repeats. The Gray station in my market dropped it for InvestigateTV+.

  20. Interesting that Gray picked it up since they've been getting rid of syndicated shows on their stations for a while now. I guess it'll go well with iCrime and InvestigateTV+. And True Crime News is also launching this fall.

  21. A new half-hour true-crime series, Crime Expose, with former ET and Access Hollywood co-anchor Nancy O'Dell as host, will launch on 9/23. https://deadline.com/2024/06/crime-expose-with-nancy-odell-1235984273/

  22. I would like to see KCAL-TV in Los Angeles, California to add some Syndicated Programming what KDOC-TV showed like: Forensic Files, Cheaters, Pawn Stars, The Goldbergs, Young Sheldon, Bob Hearts Abishola, The Connors, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, Full Measure with Sharyl Atkison, The Carbonaro Effect, Street Magic, Popstar ¡Today!, Murdoch Mysteries and Bloodline Detectives in September because I heard CBS News and Stations airs these kind of Syndicated shows I also would like to see Family Feud and Funny you should ask moving to KCOP-TV Fox 11 Plus since King of Queens is leaving Syndication, KTLA-TV will no longer have Syndicated shows the only 2 Syndicated shows are Court Cam and Judy Justice for this fall

  23. Effective Monday July 29, KDFW is moving Judge Judy to 3pm in favor of a new 4pm newscast. They are also launching a 6:30pm newscast that same day, moving TMZ to 11:30pm.

  24. WXSP has dropped The Good Doctor in the 2-Hour block on Sun and is now Chi Fire from 8PM to 10PM and takes 30-minute break returns where it has been the last couple of years at 10:30PM to 11:30PM. Kinda surprised by that move as I thought that if it leaves a station doesn't happen until Sep and is The Good Doctor leaving weekend syndication this fall?
