  1. Not only that, they have brand new music: Aerial by Stephen Arnold Music (yeah, the theme that most of TVNT hates, lol...).

  4. That would make sense except that most elementary schools start at 8. Now some might start at 8:30 so they might get to catch some Bev bombs or Murray tell Adam or Barry they are a moron. If they were trying to reach that audience they should air it at 6 and 6:30

  5. WRIC has debuted a new never-before-seen Nexstar graphics package. Here are some of the weather graphics, taken from their website.

  6. At least it is better then THIS logo. WRIC has seen much worse. Their highlight was when they were Media General's Flagship. Remember, This station was owned by Young Broadcasting who treated WRIC as a dumpster fire. People around Richmond would actually ask for WVEC or WJLA in their cable/satellite subscriptions in the 90s/00s due to how bad this station was.

  8. Marci Gonzalez joins KCBS as morning anchor. Not sure if she’s DeMarco’s official replacement or if she is sliding into Suzanne Marques’ seat.

  9. https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/good-morning-america-tv-ratings-news-today-1235283664/ GMA winning in the 25-54 demo, attributed in part to getting anchors out of the studio and to locations of major stories.

  10. No one said that she's not anchoring at all. @nynewslover was only correcting the untrue statement before that, that said that she'd be anchoring the entire program.

  11. Time to blow the dust off this thread. The weather graphics are almost always the canary in the coal mine, the fist sign of changes. These debuted at 4pm, and they align with all new graphic teases I've seen, from the colors, to the font, to even the little arrows that appear in a few spots. Nice reminder: if anyone quotes this post, please remove the screenshots from the quotation box.

  12. Current 4p anchor Keith Garvin has been named main anchor at KPRC/Houston. He’s been with KPRC for 10 years and knows the market well. Keith will shift to the 5p, 6p and 10p shows, replacing Kris Gutierrez, who abruptly left a few months ago. No official word on who will take over at 4p, but I suspect current 11a and noon anchor Andy Cerota will add that show to his duties instead of reporting for the afternoon newscasts, like he does now. https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2022/06/08/keith-garvin-named-anchor-of-kprc-2s-evening-and-late-newscasts/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=snd&utm_content=kprc2&fbclid=IwAR34kdsOEU0lwe-giDjxXQw1UE5th_-JOwP0KPiHbdztrZaVk53XSkAZGNs&fs=e&s=cl

  13. I support that only in which I believe that there are CBS affiliates out there that wish they had hour-long midday news. I'm looking at WINK Fort Myers and WKYT Lexington as two such examples. There's probably more out there that want to as well. I'm thinking so does KDKA Pittsburgh and WTKR Norfolk since both are in very competive markets.

  14. My entire point here is that we don't know what is going to happen. The claim that "3K is history for WNBC" seems premature as the only thing we know is that the two stations are moving into a shared workspace. Shared workspaces does not equal new studios. Like I said, I hope WNBC does get a new set but there's no evidence at the moment to support that. Only speculation. I haven't forgotten that 30 Rock used to be filled with radio studios. But all of the radio studios that were capable of being transformed into television studios were converted over half a century ago. As for Studio 1A, it used to be a bank and the ceiling in that space, as is true for most ground floor retail space, is a story and half. In fact, the area over homebase didn't have a ceiling above it at all. You could look down from what is now the SPA into Studio 1A. But my aside about construction clearly became a distraction from the fact that neither B&C or NewscastStudio made any mention of WNBC getting a new studio.
