Not sure what you mean by RTC as there seems to be multiple definitions. That said, I can see that they've taken full advantage of the less-restrictive rules for LPTV stations to launch multiple stations in the same market.
-
Yeah, I've seen that whenever I've been at my brother's house. It's ridiculous.
-
But no sign of them coming to southwestern Connecticut. Instead, we're stuck with Spectrum News NY1, which is mostly focused on NYC news. Oh, and we now have the Spanish-language version of NY1, on channel 12. Ironically, when we still had News 12 Connecticut, it was on channel 30.

Which makes the decision to not spell out "Alaska" even more perplexing.
-
I kinda wish they'd spell out "Alaska". It's a short name, and I wouldn't have the urge to read it as "ACK! News Source".

I have to wonder what would've happened had the game actually gone till 4:00am or later. Delayed the start of the 4:00am news so the 10:00pm news can run?
-
I'm going to hazard a guess that the specific people who used to run those networks are no longer Scripps employees.

How the heck did Circle City get WRTV instead of Hearst, Graham, Weigel, or even Gray?
-
Which is dumb, since accessing the files wouldn't require any human involvement on the FCC's end.

From the Guardian's politics live blog: Welp, as far as I'm concerned, this is one very good reason for Paramount to not get WBD.
-
WVIT (NBC CT) did run the previously-recorded news after the game, though I didn't think to check their website or streaming channel. I'll have to remember to check those next time this happens). LateNighter noted that the delay pushed The Tonight Show to its latest start since Jimmy Fallon became the host in 2014: 1:29am ET, with Late Night with Seth Meyers coming on at 2:31am. NBC CT normally repeats their late news after Meyers, but that would result in it bumping into Early Today, so I can see it being quietly skipped (along with the repeats of Nightly News, Kelly Clarkson, and Access Hollywood).

A large amount of the content from the Discovery Networks side of the WBD merger has left HBO Max in recent months and is now only on Discovery+. It wouldn't surprise me if another such culling happens soon. Most of the Discovery+ content is forgettable and some of it is truly garbage, but there are good shows amongst the piles: MythBusters, the occasional show from HGTV,, likely some science shows, etc. Some of those should also stay available on HBO Max. The real question is whether or not any cable channels will be shut down, either by WBD to trim the fat in advance of a sale or by the next owner to make room for new channels.
-
Good. WBD as a whole is too big for any one company to purchase. Now let's hope whoever buys the cable channels is/are open to killing off channels that need to die. (I'm looking at you, HLN.)

Probably so they can get your email address (and maybe other contact info) so they and their "partners" can send you email and track your activity.

The 2000s called. They'd like their l33t sp3ak back. ()

For the record, the first episode of every night's pair of CU episodes is new, though on Fridays and when the show's on a break week, it's a repeat from the current run. The second episode of the night (1:07am?) is always from the show's original, pre-CBS run. Also, if CBS decides to start up a new, cheaper talk show in the 11:35 slot, that will only reignite the controversy over whether or not Colbert's show was canceled because of Trump. I kinda doubt Paramount and/or CBS want the PR mess that would result from such a move.
-
To be fair, I sometimes think it's still March 2020.
-
Guess who's interested in the 11:35pm time slot? Yup, Byron Allen.
-
WMUR still has that oval? Ugh.
-
But do Xfinity customers get all 50+ "localized" versions like Spectrum's own customers do?
-
Still haven't found the full list anywhere -- though I also wonder why Nielsen doesn't just release the list itself. I mean, the top 50 are already available, so what's so secret about the other 160?
-
Is the full list available somewhere?
-
Optimum has a streaming box, too?

All I can say is that I will be extremely annoyed if (Not)MyNetworkTV outlives any of the Big Four broadcast networks.
