  1. David anchored GMA this morning and WNT this evening.
  2. Since they went to a two-anchor format for Sunday evenings, when one anchor is off, I've seen fill-ins on all but one occasion. Shirleen has filled in for Sarah before as well.
  3. I've seen him anchor on Saturday before. I would assume they are each other's main backups.
  4. Interesting pairing tonight. Walter's off, and Brian Taff is filling in alongside Sarah. I believe Sarah anchored solo yesterday for Walter. I know I've said this before, but I still think they should utilize Sharie Williams on Fridays at noon and Saturday evenings (and give her Monday coupled with Sunday off).
  5. You said, "Maybe CBS is pushing him out at Channel 6 ...". Maybe a bad choice of wording? No mention of radio in that post, and the way it was worded seemed as if you were saying CBS was his television employer. I understand what you were trying to say after you explained in a later post. Nonetheless, the article seems to be driven by WTVJ wanting to change direction, not by CBS (Radio) wanting their employees to choose one side or the other. Besides, if I were Adam, I would dump the radio bit and keep the lead TV NEWS anchor bit. Perhaps Adam and Jawan will split evenings? They already have Trina and Jackie, so they might pair them off.
  6. I think you mean WCIX! *also sarcasm*
  7. Same with above post. I think you're confused with affiliations.
  8. Channel 6 = WTVJ = NBC Channel 4 = WFOR = CBS I think you got a little confused.
  9. I saw Marion was on at 5pm too. Did they both anchor at 6pm and 10pm too? And if so, who did the 11am? I personally think that Stefan's got to be in the running for the 4:30pm (replacing Rob). If he gets it, I assume he continues on the 11am, and Anthony Ponce gets promoted to weekday mornings.
  10. I think there will be some shuffling. My bet would be on Chris Lawrence getting the 11pm. Once Jim Vance retires for good, I could see Jim Handly switching the 5pm for the 6pm, and Chris Lawrence picking up the 5pm. At that point, I think it would also make sense to shorten the 6pm to a half hour. Just my thoughts!
  11. WRC debuted a "new" "News 4 Midday" today (at least that's what they're referring to it as on social media). It seemed like Aaron Gilchrist and Barbara Harrison rotated standing at the video wall doing the news from commercial break to commercial break, with Angie Goff rotating reading news from the LiveDesk in the newsroom along with them. I wonder if Aaron and Angie are permanent, or it they will rotate along with Richard Jordan and Eun Yang. It was kind of a bit dizzying to watch. I guess it's their attempt to make it more fluffy and less newsy. I wonder if this is part of bigger change-ups to come. If I recall correctly, I believe Jim Vance has said he'll semi-retire this year by stepping off the 11pm.
  12. Actually that looks less likely. No way they go from 3 current weeknight anchors to 5. I wonder if they're toying with adding any newscasts (weekend mornings or 11pm)?
  13. Up until last year KSDK was king. The most recent sweeps show different.
  14. I think both posters above are questioning your assertion that KSDK is last in the ratings, not whether they were streaming.
  15. I went back and read the article. It doesn't say anything about her reporting of his death before the family was notified. The family is not even mentioned. It does say, that at 5:34 she reported he had died. He was, in fact, still alive at that moment. They referred to him as injured in a report some 10 minutes later. He was not pronounced dead until almost an hour later, 6:25. So, it seems she was let go for getting a story wrong, not because she didn't follow protocol on announcing a death (in fact there is no evidence she didn't follow protocol.... I'm not even sure she referred to the officer by name).
  16. Maybe I misunderstood the story, but I don't think the problem was reporting something (that he's dead) before the family knew, but rather reporting that he was dead when he was actually alive but in critical condition.
  17. This was already mentioned on thread. See below:
  18. I think this seems like the more likely scenario. Perhaps Maureen will join him at 4pm? I believe I read that he would be joining Maureen, Leon, and Alison, so it doesn't seem like Leon's going anywhere. I thought they might have been testing out Scott Thuman for the job as he had anchored at 4pm recently a few times.
  19. Her twitter feed references WNBC as late as Sunday. So if she was let go it must have been after that.
  20. For some reason I don't foresee the 7pm lasting too long. All the other O&Os that had 7PMs seem to have dropped them. The "Breaking News Anchor" seems to be like WRC's "LiveDesk" or WCAU's "Sat Center".
  21. It was official on this thread earlier this morning, just a few posts up:
  22. Yeah, you're right. It's a rumor now and should have no bearing on her employment status unless it becomes fact. I agree people need to worry about their own lives, but it's part of the territory when you become a public figure, whether it's fair or not.
  23. While you're both mostly right in that it's nobody's business, I feel it is her employer's business. I say that because how you act in your personal life affects your image, which many times affects your station's image. I believe a lot of news people have clauses in their contracts stating such and as grounds for termination.
  24. Peter Alexander anchoring for the second Saturday in a row.
  25. First break in the normal routine. Tom is anchoring tonight (Saturday).
