Long day for Rick. Solo anchored at Noon, then co-anchored at 4pm & 5pm, and now is solo anchoring at 10pm!!

My vote is to model it after CNBC which stands for Consumer News and Business Channel. GPNBC General and Political News Broadcasting Channel (Or PGNBC)

I could also see Rachael getting bumped. On another note, a rarity at noon today. Erin O'Hearn was in for Sarah. Usually when one anchor is off, the other anchors solo.

Looks like "The FAB Life" will be on at 1pm this fall on WLS. I wonder what that means for Rachael Ray.

Ok, maybe I overreacted a bit.

I do know the schedule and I know the noon news runs an hour. And I also know that Millionaire currently airs at 2pm with Daytime Jeopardy at 2:30pm. Not sure how you deduced that I didn't. With "The Fab Life" going at 2pm, obviously the Millionaire/DTJeopardy combo is getting booted from that hour. Isn't possible for them to go back to the way it was and slash the news back to a half hour with Millionaire back at 12:30pm? And isn't it possible that they will drop the Jeopardy rerun? I believe the answers are yes it's possible. Is it possible that you not be so cocky in your responses? I've noticed this in the past from you.

I saw a promo for "The Fab Life" premiering this fall at 2pm on WPVI. Daytime Jeopardy will probably fall off the schedule as it is a rerun anyway, but will Millionaire return to 12:30pm? I wonder where other stations are putting "The Fab Life"...

If it's GMA and not GAA, I imagine they would attach it to the mother ship and have it at 9am. Kelly & Michael could easily slide to 10am, and Rachel Ray to 11am (or whatever your local ABC affiliates air at those times).

Reports are saying that Candace Cameron Bure, Stacey London, Molly Simms, in addition to Sherri Sheppherd (and possibly Nicolle Wallace) would join in the capacity of rotating co-host. Honestly, they're better off making Whoopi, Raven, and Michelle rotating too so they have a different cast of characters each day.

That's because all their anchors are female except for Ukee (and formerly Chris) so there isn't a big pool of fill-ins to choose from.

I agree. I wish CBS could return to WJBK. FOX ideally would end up on WMYD (or WKBD), CW remaining on WKBD (or moving to WMYD), and MNTV on WWJ. In the extremely slim possibility something like this happened, FOX would want to own the FOX affiliate and likely the MNTV affiliate. Only way I see it possibly happening is if FOX somehow benefits somewhere else (like getting KSTW-11 in Seattle).

Erika anchored solo this morning. Surprised that they didn't bring in Nicole, Natasha, or even Pat to help out! Erika also anchored at noon with Pat today.

Today: Matt anchored the morning with Erin. Matt anchored at noon solo. Rick anchored at 4 with Erin, at 5 with Monica, then Monica anchored at 6, Monica anchored the 10pm solo, while Rick anchored the 11. They must be really short staffed!! Also odd for channel 6 to have both Rick and Monica come in late. They should've at least had Rick with Monica at 10. I thought I saw Nydia, Sharrie, and Walter reporting. They could've used them unless they're short staffed on reporters too.

I'm not sure I would say what he did is saving face. Surprised he didn't end up at WBBM or other CBS O&Os that are lacking male anchors (KYW, WCBS).

No reason Justin can't do all the weekend newscasts live (this used to be the norm), on a temporary basis. They can get a freelancer (Michelle Grossman and Karen Thomas come to mind... is John Bolaris still around?). When Katie goes on maternity leave, the weekend AM person can do 3 weekday mornings while Justin does the other 2.

And according to her sister, Kathy was in meetings with upper management Friday and that it was her decision to leave.

Regarding Chris, he probably would've walked then take a demotion. Regarding Kathy, if I recall, it was supposedly her decision to cut her workload when her newscasts were cut in half. But I think it had more to do with WCBS pushing Katie Fehlinger onto KYW, so KYW had to make room for her. It didn't work out too well and that's why Kathy was brought back to early evenings. I also read that Kate Bilo had offers to go elsewhere. Interesting....

I like the Ukee move to evenings. However, him, Jessica (who I'm glad they kept), should have done the 5pm, 10pm, and 11pm only. Pat Ciarrochi and a new male anchor should get the noon and 6pm, and another male anchor and Erika should do mornings. As for the weather situation, since Carol's walking, they should've kept Kathy, moved Kate back to mornings and noon, Katie to weekend evenings, and Justin to weekend mornings. Nonetheless, I'm sure Kathy will land in a good place.

In Pittsburgh the lottery also changed stations and is now on WPXI. All these stations can take these things from 6abc, but the only thing that matters they have not been able to take away for decades, the news at #1.

As long as they're cleaning house, can they get rid of Jim Donovan? As for replacements, I think the weather department is fine as is. The Sports department should look to CSN or ESPN for a potential replacement. The female anchor department seems to be doing just fine. The male anchor department is lacking!! They could use three or four of them, and a big name lead anchor would be nice.

I think letting Kathy go is a HUGE mistake. Chris, although he seems nice, comes off as dry. Beasley seems like he's been phoning it in for years, just reading from the teleprompter. Oh boy, Dianna Rocco is anchoring the 10. I hope they don't think that's the answer. Kate is doing weather.
