Rob Marciano will probably handle weekday duties while she's on maternity leave, while the affiliates will pitch in on weekends with their weather people.

It looks the Meredith's "Better Show" is filling the 8am hour.

Does this mean the return of Eyewitness News at Noon full time? I've said this before but Pat is severely underused. There were several times this week that Chris anchored solo at 5, 6, 10, and 11. One word: unbearable!!

Rick and Sarah are a close second.

Rick anchored at noon with Sarah, at 4 with Sharrie, and at 5 with Sharrie. Monica anchored the 6. I assume Monica will anchor the 11, but I wonder if she'll do the 10 too, or if Sharrie will. UPDATE: Monica anchored the 10 solo as well as the 11.

Yup she anchored solo at 10pm last Friday and on Monday night too. Doing a good job a might add!! I could see her getting the 10pm with Brian if Sarah gets the 4pm with Brian. Adam did do a good job! Where's Cecily? I've noticed as of late one weather person doing the 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 10pm, and 11pm, sometimes Cecily or sometimes Adam. I wonder if they are trying to maximize their time off?

WABC has always has had weird fill-in procedures. Why not just have Shirleen fill in at 4pm for Liz and leave Lori in the mornings? Also, when one of the 6pm anchors is off, they always seem to have the other anchor it solo despite that there are fill-ins available (in this case Lori). Also, I love Shirleen, but she was really not needed. Diana or Liz could have added noon duties to their schedule. Liz is already there to do the 4pm preview.

Agree. Once in a while is okay but 5 days a week is rough. Ken did say he'd be filling in for David in a few weeks. I wonder if Shirleen will become a main fill-in in the morning.

My suggestion was if Sarah gets the 4pm, that Monica do the 10pm. Her day would be no longer than Rick's or the average evening anchor's work day.

If Sarah gets the 4pm she could only continue to report at 6pm, not 10pm or 11pm. She co-anchors the noon so that would make for long days. I don't like Brian solo at 10pm. It's an hour long and therefore I think he needs a co-anchor. I brought up Tamala because all the other female anchors have gotten a swing at it. If hard news is a factor, then I'd take Nydia and Alicia out of the running as they are too perky for that. My opinion only, but I think it's a toss up between Sharrie and Sarah, with an outside chance of Eva getting it. If it's Sarah, I think Monica gets the 10pm, and Sharrie or Eva get weekend evenings (or at least Sunday evenings). If it's Sharrie, all else stays same.

It is indeed going to be David and Shirleen at noon, with Bill doing weather. They just introduced them at the end of the noon show.

Not sure if he was chief from 1989, but Sam Champion was chief before Lee.

My guess is David will take over for Ken at noon, and maybe Amy and Jeff will rotate weather duties.

Rob & Wendy filled in for Jim & Melanie today at 4pm.

I see Eva is co-anchoring the 10pm tonight as well. I believe Brian has soloed on the 10pm every other night since Shirleen left.

Not sure why she has to be at the anchor desk if it's her last day on the noon show. It's not like she's leaving WABC all together. And it's Glassberg, not Glassman.
