  1. Never is a long time. I could see him substituting in a few years once he has had a chance to restore his credibility. Question is whether he would want to sub.
  2. Another good one gone ... http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/12/14/philly-reporter-headed-to-vegas-anchor-job He would've been perfect here as weekday morning or weekend evening co-anchor. Good job CBS3, another screw up!
  3. I doubt PIX11 is going to replace or demote Tamsen. John is definitely worthy of the main anchor gig. I am actually surprised that he left ABC News to come back to PIX11. It seemed like he was becoming a rising star there, even filling in on GMA. Perhaps if Kaity/Brenda goes well, they could do 11am news together too. I think Jay Dow is definitely in line to get the weekend gig (maybe with Narmeen Choudhury), and Dan Mannarino (Joe Cioffi weather too) if they ever expand to weekend mornings. I like Joe Mauceri on sports (maybe he can handle weekends). Not a big fan of Scott Stanford or the SportsDesk block.
  4. Maybe it was short notice? I know Robin was on her way to Philly to interview Kobe Bryant about his decision to retire from the NBA, which was a recent announcement in the past 48 hours.
  5. It seemed in the past that Amy was the main weekday backup. Glad to see them using Tom now too.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
  7. WPVI has hired Gray Hall. I wonder if he was hired as a reporter or anchor: http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/wpvi-adds-anchor-from-virginia/159356
  8. Is that a recent development? Because Phil was still doing Sunday mornings after Troy was hired and his bio still has it in there: http://abc7chicago.com/about/newsteam/phil-schwarz/
  9. Tracy also does a WCL 11am update too I believe. And I think Phil does Sunday mornings?
  10. There's just something about him that rubs me the wrong way (and no it's not his presumed sexual orientation). He just comes off as arrogant and an "I'm better than you" attitude. I do admit he did an okay job with Pat during the Pope visit.
  11. Hope this one is not right ... http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/11/18/shake-up-happening-in-philly There are plenty of capable reporters to choose from if they are looking to promote from within: Todd Quinones, Cleve Bryan, Steve Patterson, and I was going to say Matt Rivers, but he's gone!
  12. WLNY has cut back on their news output as has KCAL. If TXA21 were to bring back news, I'd imagine it would only be one newscast a day to start.
  13. Seems like Kyla's not sticking around but heading back to NY per her facebook post on November 17: https://www.facebook.com/KylaWeather/
  14. They're fully loaded on the weekends. Justin Drabick and Lauren Casey already fill that role. If they carve out a role for a fifth meteorologist, I imagine it'll be noon and 6pm.
  15. Can't say I'm surprised. Feel sorry for Williams, but this is a win-win for Kathy Orr and Fox 29.
  16. A little odd. Jim and Jaqueline anchored the 4pm together, but Keith is anchoring solo at 5pm. Minor Update: Jacqueline is co-anchoring at 6pm with Jim. Could this mean a new hire or some shuffling is coming, especially with Chris leaving?
  17. Sorry to disappoint you but they will be there as well: http://abcnews.go.com/US/gma-celebrate-40th-anniversary-40-hour-live-marathon/story?id=34809833
  18. A surprise this morning: Vai Sikahema and Katy Zachry co-anchoring at 11am!
  19. I'm still hoping "The News with Brian Williams" makes a return at 6pm, with the originial theme song.
  20. Seeing the full list, I kind of wished Chris Cuomo (especially) and Tony Perkins would also return. Chris is on a competing morning show, so perhaps that's why he won't be there, but Tony is now on the evening newscasts.
  21. A little odd, but CBS 3 just aired a story from KCRA (Hearst-owned) in Sacramento, where they have a sister station in KOVR.
