  1. Sorry. That's just a post that stood out in my mind and I happened to remember because of my extreme disgust for those shows. Wasn't trying to be creepy or vindictive, just trying to prove a point.
  2. Per post #3824 in the "Out and About" thread (http://forums.tvnewstalk.net/index.php?threads/out-and-about.11429/page-192#post-147937) on December 27, 2015, you stated you also watch Wilkos. Nonetheless, it's shows like these that contribute to the dumbing down of America. They provide no educational value (or any other value for that matter) and are "Trash TV". Say what you want about The View, but it's a million times better than Maury or Wilkos.
  3. This coming from someone who watches the likes of Wilkos, Springer, and Povich
  4. I think this season has seen a bit of a rejuvenation. Next season will probably see higher ratings with the election in full gear. I predict that you'll be wrong.
  5. Seven months she's been on leave. The Jim and Jackie pairing at 4/6/11 and Keith and Denise/Rosemary/solo at 5 has been going on for months. Honestly, I'd like to see them give Tracy a chance on the 5pm. It'd be nice to have a familiar face in the evening again, and I enjoyed when she was paired with Keith in the mornings.
  6. Has any CW affiliate time shifted the prime time programming outside of KPLR & KWGN? This seems to be more of a MyTV thing as all their programming is second-run programming. Outside of KOVR, KPLR and KWGN, I don't know of any Big 5 affiliates (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CW) that have time shifted their prime time programming outside of the network-preferred time slots (it's a bit more common in late night or daytime). KPIX used to do it, but stopped doing it. KPLR & KWGN do it so they don't compete with their sister stations (KTVI, KDVR) at 9pm with news. KOVR should really stop doing it as all the other stations in Sacramento follow the recommended schedule. Jeopardy/Wheel, ET/Insider, and Extra/AH seem to be paired together on most stations, particularly in the Eastern and Pacific time zones. Jeopardy and Wheel because they are both game shows, ET and Insider because one is a spinoff of the other, and Extra and Access Hollywood by default (they were also distributed by the same company for a period of time).
  7. Alicia's on throughout the 4pm hour. I don't believe she appears at all during the 5pm hour.
  8. Reports have said that he'll be reporting when he joins in April. I'm sure he will probably fill in as well.
  9. Can't calm down if I wasn't excited to begin with! I just don't see the appeal in Gus, that's all.
  10. Keith Jones's girlfriend was in a bad accident: http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/former-miss-new-jersey-and-anchor-injured-in-car-accident/164003 Prayers that she recovers fully.
  11. No wow on Gus getting passed over. Not sure why you and some others are so high on him. But this doesn't bode well for David and/or Rob. No way WNBC keeps 4 male anchors in the afternoon/evening rotation (I think even three is too many), unless Chuck's planning on retiring soon. My guess is Kerry Barrett or Natalie Pasquarella will likely join the evening rotation as well (replacing Shiba).
  12. I'm just surprised that the guy over at the Changing Newscast blog didn't catch this one. However, I'm sure it will be reported as "First on the Blog" despite it already being known (as other things have).
  13. No to Pat & Gus. If Shiba does leave, I'm guessing Kerry Barret figures into their plans somehow, whether she takes over for Shiba or there is some other domino effect.
  14. I can't help but think this pertains to WFLD: http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2016/2/3/someones-in-big-trouble
  15. Looks like "Matter of Fact" moves to midnight, bumping "Inside Edition Weekend" to 4:30am Sunday Morning (in turn bumping paid programming to 4am, which apparently bumps "Open House" off the schedule).
  16. Keith was in for Jim at 4pm today. But guess who filled in for Jim at 6pm? Jim!
  17. Tonight's question: why do we yawn? [insert yawning emoji]
  18. So if it's Jim, and they are auditioning people, does that leave Erika as part of a 3-anchor format, moved to another time, out the door?
  19. Nicole was the weekend morning anchor. She was just filling in once Ukee got promoted to nights.
  20. I didn't say that, I just pointed that out in addition to a bunch of other things, like the fact that other items are months old in that same article. It was probably the formal announcement that he is part of the rotation. FTV Live is more of a gossip and rumor site (many of which turn out to be true).
  21. You forgot staying put. They could go with two female anchors.
  22. SMH. See the OUT AND ABOUT thread. Note that that appears like a press release, some of the other items are almost six months old, the word "a" is used instead of "the", and the response to rkolsen's tweet does not give us anything conclusive, and no other outlet has reported that he is "the" Saturday night anchor.
  23. They couldn't agree to terms of a new contract. Pat Ciarrochi and Carol Erickson recently left. CBS3 just lost quite a few good reporters in the past year who would've been good anchor material (Matt Rivers, Todd Quinones, Steve Patterson).
  24. I'm not sure I'd read too much into that. How else would he respond?: "Yes, thank you very much Ryan! FYI I am only part of the rotation of Saturday night anchors." Other things mentioned in that press release on FTVLive.com: *Stephanie Abrams was named co-anchor of AMHQ. This actually happened on November 8 (and was announced earlier). *Nic Roberston named CNN International Diplomatic Editor. A simple google search will show you this happened back in September 2015. *Kala Rama named WPIX weekend anchor. This actually happened back in December. There are a bunch more, and some of them happened earlier this month while others happened last fall. I think they were just stating what was announced back in November, that he is part of the rotation, hence the "a" instead of a "the" in the press release. Also, when Kate was announced as the Sunday anchor, many more outlets reported this, not just FTVLive.
