  1. Kerry Barrett also comes to mind for both positions. If the news were to move to 11am I could see the morning team (Michael/Darlene) handling it.
  2. Oz is at 1 currently. TMZ Live is at 3, leading in to Judy at 4.
  3. Guess Harry at 2pm and Divorce Court at 12:30. We lose Dish Nation repeat and Inside Edition repeat in afternoon, and Top 30 is only for summer.
  4. I suggested the move to 11am back when KNBC moved back to 11am, as that now leaves WNBC as the only NBC O&O with their midday news at noon. When I suggested, others said that it'd be a stupid move to go up against The Price Is Right and The View. I thought it would be smart because they would be the only news on at that time. As for permanent anchors, it seems that Rob is permanent Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday (he also anchors weekend evenings), and David is permanent Thursday-Friday. I could see them adding Kerry Barrett on all five days, or having her do three days (in addition to her morning duties, and possibly weekend evenings) with someone else (Natalie or Darlene perhaps) picking up the other two days.
  5. Interesting that the noon newscast uses "News at 12" instead of "News at Noon".
  6. Doesn't read right though. If you're using a different branding it should be reflected as such (it was done in the previous package). The "News" at the bottom should be dropped. Hello. That's exactly how it reads, but that is not WNBC's branding. Not sure what you're referring to with regards to WTVJ, but they use a different branding than WNBC.
  7. Could've sworn I saw the 5pm open with the peacock and "4" next to each other and "News at 5" underneath. I thought their news was branded "News 4 New York at 5" (with appropriate time). The logo made it look like it read NBC 4 News at 5. Perhaps my eyes were deceiving me.
  8. Vai and Tracy are co-anchoring at 11am. I wonder if it's just for the day and there's a reason behind it, or if it's permanent.
  9. Even though that's what they may do, I think it's overkill. How about moving Extra to one of those time slots, or more news?
  10. Great graphics. However, this video shows two big problems with CBS3: 1. I feek like Brooke Thomas tries too hard and it doesn't seem genuine. At the 0:29 second mark, her "uhhhhh" seems forced. The sad part is, she's the better anchor of the morning pair. Don't get me started on Jim. 2. Looking at both videos, Ukee and Jim are both off. Their subs: Rahel Solomon and Nicole Brewer (who by the way are both very capable anchors in their own right). This station is lacking a male bench. Ukee is their main male anchor, and the only other male is Jim, who probably belongs on weekend mornings (and that's being gracious).
  11. Rumor has it he is headed to NBC Boston. Will report nightside until his departure date a few weeks from now.
  12. Ben Simmoneau to WCVB in Boston to replace Phil Lipof at 5pm. http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/ben-simmoneau-joins-wcvb/172556
  13. Wonder who did the noon? Dana?
  14. So wait, you're now advocating ABC buying some or all of Scripps stations? What happened to your theory of Scripps buying ABC? Or is the new theory that Sinclair is buying ABC?
  15. Sheena's actually filling in for Bill so far this week. I think Violeta usually only does Saturday evenings and Glenn handles Sunday evenings and then takes a weekday off (on which Sheena handles his evening duties and Bill does the 11am). Seems like Karen and Michelle had been filling the weekend morning until now.
  16. I'm surprised they have not gone the way of "outsourcing" sports to CSN, like some other NBC O&Os.
  17. I guess this means Rachael Ray is staying in overnights, and that's likely where Right This Minute will end up. Has Rachael even been renewed past this season?
  18. Sounds per the video that he'll be popping up somewhere else soon, and we should know in a few weeks.
  19. Neither of Anita or Scott left around that time. I believe they rotated the noon between the two for a while. Walter was also in the morning show mix along with Michelle McCormack. Ironically, Rob was favored to get the 5pm when Marc left, but when Lisa got sick those plans went out the window.
  20. Yes and no. Marc last anchored in September 2002 but was on paid leave until December 2002. Lisa went on medical leave shortly after Marc left the newscast. She made a short comeback at 5pm but officially left Action News the first time around at the end of 2003. Lisa did return around 2006 but in the capacity of a features reporter. Around the same time as Marc and Lisa's disappearance Dave Roberts gave up the 5:30pm half hour (as well as the 11pm). Scott Palmer's head must have been spinning. Scott left himself a few years later.
  21. It'd be nice to see Dave Roberts, Marc Howard, Scott Palmer, or Rob Jennings make an appearance on her farewell show. Lisa, Marc, Scott, and Dave were a team for 20 years, from 1983-2002. Rob was often the main sub for Marc and Lisa during that span.
  22. On the contrary. She was an employee/aide to a political figure. He only made a donation to a foundation, not a candidate/political figure.
  23. I wonder if she took 4 months off of school after that because she was so upset. Relax, I'm kidding!!!
  24. Always good to hear a sound of reason. Letting it go as of this post. Good luck to Dana and I hope all turns out well for her.
  25. Many companies allow for reasonable leaves of absences. For the millionth time, I'm not judging her! Seems hypocritical of you and some others to accuse me and others of being judgmental and then turning around and being judgmental yourselves with the name calling. I don't care what you all say. Taking FOUR MONTHS OFF for a break-up is inexcusable. She is not the first or the last person to break-up, divorce, or lose a loved one. This is not a medical emergency or a family emergency. She's entiteled to be upset, no one's disputing that. She may still be rightfully upset two years from now. However, it is not reasonable to take off the next two years. I will repeat that you all on here are probably more upset about the break-up then she is.
