KMGH has moved to brand new digs months ago. Therefore, its old digs are no longer needed. Its being demolished for a new 11-story building for housing, among other things. The report from KUSA:

The only exceptions are the FOX affiliates in which Gray reupped with FOX for those with current expiration dates on them currently unclear.

Only a short time at WAPT and a heart attack killed her. Celeste Wilson has unexpectedly passed away. Damn. https://www.wapt.com/article/celeste-wilson-16-wapt-news-weekend-anchor-dies/65913634?fbclid=IwY2xjawMcR6pleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHpXZm-Nq_UC7CPNL9xgfJmkto34AAsHcQVkyeE6a_yONTZGRoRVgaksozyUD_aem_OK2ueZFiBECh4a3o68k9fA

This week is Mark Rowlett's last at KTXS after 16 years. It also sounds like on this post that it'll be retirement as well, though he doesn't make that clear in this post. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1158562656084289&id=100057916965884

Former KYTV Springfield, Mo. news anchor Ethan Forhetz, currently V.P. of public engagement for Convoy of Hope, was on FOX Weather recently to talk about the organization's efforts during Katrina, which is now 20 years old. https://www.foxweather.com/watch/fmc-gbdlddvx9utur3sw

Replacing a big-time legend in Tom Green, too, so I'm shocked he's doing this.

So Anne-Sophie is going to be an interviewer for Sunday programs on M6 plus coverage of major primetime events. Plus, she'll do a 6-8 p.m. program on RTL Radio that'll be divided into news from 6-7:15 followed by analysis and debate from 7:15-8 p.m. I've become such a fan of her's over recent years and more so after her exit (and the reasons for it) came out.
-
She started at TF1 as a weekend news presenter where she made a name for herself, and has been known in France ever since.

France I just found out today that Anne Sophie-Lapix has left France 2's 20h after 8 years and France Televisions in general due to political pressure from both the left and the right. She is joining M6 for Sunday programs and major news coverage and RTL Radio for a two-hour daily program. https://www.thetimes.com/world/europe/article/anne-sophie-lapix-axed-spats-macron-le-pen-kj3mfbpzv

Brent Watts is planning to retire from WDBJ 7, though not retire completely as he'll soon enter public service for Botetourt County. https://www.wdbj7.com/2025/08/25/brent-watts-retire-wdbj7-names-new-chief-meteorologist/?fbclid=IwY2xjawMZyjJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHlZbIKXM3GkNBZiNeZIvtfCSPdu2Q8l8qLIn65Djf5QTd6OzTR8Bgoool7f9_aem_TpoggMijfPneODIf7RYe0Q

Also... in honor of the new news director, 9 reasons as to why WGN is better than WMAQ.

Congrats are in order to Doug Kammerer for 15 years at WRC-TV. It also brings out an excuse to showcase old clips of the late, great Jim Vance.

And only could the WGN Morning News welcome her in style...

France BFM TV launched a new look today. It also brought in former TF1 and France 2 news presenter Julien Arnaud to launch a new mid-morning program, Arnaud Direct, from 10am-12pm. https://x.com/lenodal/status/1960012473005990226?t=wru6M9a7INRIevMyCIEzkw&s=19

Canada Canadian television continues to shrink. This time, more kids channels are going under. Family Channel, Family Jr., WildBrainTV, and Télémagino are all going away in the next couple of months. This is a result of failed negotiations with Rogers to carry their channels. Bell has already announced earlier to remove them as well. https://www.animationmagazine.net/2025/08/wildbrain-to-unplug-its-tv-broadcast-business/

I had to post this here because its the closest you'll ever see WSVN call themselves FOX 7. Also, for the first time ever, WSVN is adopting a weather brand... the 7 StormTeam (Next Weather, First Alert Weather, and The Weather Authority are already taken in the market).

Wow. I did not know that story. But hey, her colleages all seem to love her so it must be a different story now.

Davis Nolan has officially retired as of earlier tonight after a 44-year amazing run at WKRN Nashville. At one point, he was 1/4th of the station's dream team alongside Anne Holt (who was also on this special), Bob Mueller (who hosted the special), and Steve Phillips.

I didn't know she joined in 2005. But today, WTVJ colleagues came together in the newsroom to celebrate Roxanne Vargas' 20 years with the station. I know I don't watch WTVJ as much as I do with WSVN. However, Roxy is one of the few from there that I enjoy watching. I'm only surprised she's been there 20 years as I thought she joined much later but wow. I offer my congrats to Roxy indeed! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNrB3NPwm5Y/?igsh=MTVhYnh5ZmI0aTRtbw==

This article is fascinating, especially in the wake of WPLG Miami and WANF becoming news-heavy Independents. The title is: The Independent Station Era Is Coming — Here’s How Local TV Can Survive It. https://www.tvrev.com/news/the-independent-station-era-is-coming-heres-how-local-tv-can-survive-it

Remember when WOIO produced a weeknight 9pm newscast on WUAB the first time it had the MyNetworkTV affiliation? Starting Tuesday, September 2nd (Monday the first is Labor Day), the newscast comes back after a 7-year absence (this is according to TV Passport). This time, though, the block will be 9-11pm instead of 9-10:30pm as before, meaning Sports Extra will remain at 10:45pm. This also means that WUAB will be airing MyNetworkTV programming from 8-9pm and 11pm-12am.
