  1. This will be the fourth such time there's a CBS Atlanta brand to the market (obviously WANF had it before, once under WGNX and twice under WGCL).
  2. Gray stations in Tennessee (WSMV, WMC, and WVLT) are now the official television stations of Tennessee Volunteers Athletics. This means an expansion of the Tennessee Valley Sports and Entertainment Network (only WSMV 4.2 plus WAFF 48.3 Huntsville; WMC 5.3 and WVLT 8.2 air some, but not all, programs from TVSN) is coming to Chattanooga and Jackson to cover those areas that don't have a Gray station there. https://www.wsmv.com/2025/07/18/game-changing-move-wsmv-wvlt-wmc-named-official-television-stations-tennessee-volunteers/?fbclid=IwY2xjawLnF6ZleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHrscj484y-J94ao65yPItyXWbVFBM_FCTOt1-JAnp8BCry0P2v8qNJQ6CU63_aem_BERZxphP9yCKF0X6z4f_1w
  3. CBS affiliates are replacing it with local news at 11:35 p.m. in three, two, one... However, in all seriousness, this is a shock, yet not entirely unexpected. A shock that the franchise is ending, not unexpected, is that more and more people are tuning away from the late-night genre.
  4. Two things... • Kim Posey and Shaul Turner are the last two originals left. • Highest-rated news operation in Denver? Hmm...
  5. This was over a month ago and I'm sorry but I had to share it because I laughed at this very hard. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2362341860807818
  6. Spain Pepa Bueno is coming home. The longtime Spanish journalist who's had a long distinguished career in journalism, and a long time at TVE before leaving in 2012 and at one point, doing radio in Cadena SER, and even Editor for El Pais, is going back to where it started... RTVE. And ironically enough, she's going back to her old job: Telediario, anchoring the 9pm edition on La 1, just like what she used to do from 2009-2012. She also used to do Los Desayunos de TVE from 2004-2008. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.rtve.es/rtve/20250717/pepa-bueno-regresa-a-rtve-para-presentar-telediario-noche/16667404.shtml
  7. This is pretty impressive. There's a streaming weather network for Northern California, Eastern Tennessee, Southern New Jersey, and even a replacement for TWC en Español: Canal Meteo, among others. I'm excited to see it further develop even more.
  8. I already mentioned this on Out and About. Here's how some CBS affiliates handled it:
  9. Woah. A major technical failure took place during CBS Primetime's last hour (10pm ET/9pm CT) last night. Here's how some CBS affiliates handled it:
  10. I know, but that's how she got into trouble before at WTSP, which eventually led to her getting fired by just caring more about social media and the social life than the job she is hired to do (especially if you do so on a station-branded account). I won't get into it more, but yeah... I probably won't watch her, and that's just my own opinion (and mine alone. Its okay if you like her). She'll fit the Miami lifestyle wonderfully.
  11. I love the historical stuff on the right! I wish more stations did stuff like that.
  12. Yeah. She's known as a diva who's on TV strictly to want to be on TV and nothing else. I won't watch her as much anyways since my allegiance is still on WSVN 7. Unrelated: Stacia Naquin is coming back home to Columbus. This time... to WBNS 10TV. https://www.dispatch.com/story/entertainment/television/2025/07/15/stacia-naquin-columbus-ohio-10tv-news/85205481007/ Also unrelated: Sara Knox has been KIMT's "Chief" for a few months now, with Aaron White departing for WBNS. I put it in quotes because it was unofficial. Today, it became official. She's the new Chief and considering she's been there for 8 years (outside of a year-long hiatus to work at KUTV), its well deserved. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1361726218711352&id=100046219613394
  13. Same with WPLG Miami (but Eastern time), come August 4th.
  14. Spain (the last Running of the Bulls was today until next year) La 1 will have its version of The Pyramid starting later today, and it will be the €100,000 format. https://www.rtve.es/rtve/20250704/rtve-prepara-piramide-nuevo-concurso-diario-para-tardes-1-presentado-por-itziar-miranda/16651204.shtml
  15. WDFL streams live online. Boy, will their quality be 1,000,000x better than what they're airing now once ABC Miami shows up. This stream probably won't work anymore either once the switch takes place. https://wdfltv.lightcast.com/player/52136/52136
  16. Already mentioned that issue. More than likely, it'll be ABC Miami over WPLG.
  17. Canada Corus is in a really bad shape financially. Want more proof of that? These channels will cease to exist come September 1st: • ABC Spark • Disney Jr. • Disney XD • La Chaîne Disney • Nickelodeon This will leave two things: • CMT as the last Paramount-owned network in Canada owned by Corus. • Disney Channel as the last Disney/ABC-owned network in Canada owned by Corus. The Canadian TV industry continues to fall rapidly... (This link is paywalled): https://cartt.ca/corus-to-pull-plug-on-some-kids-channels-amid-financial-pressure/
  18. WKRN's Davis Nolan is about to hang it up on August 22nd after a stellar and amazing 44 years there. https://www.facebook.com/daniellebreezytv/posts/bittersweet-day-my-friend-wkrn-davis-nolan-announced-he-will-be-retiring-on-augu/1280706163420280/
  19. I'm gonna be curious about that myself. At first, I suspect ABC won't be immediately available, but there will be time before they shuffle everything along, at which point ABC will be available. This move will also affect WPLG internationally via the Bahamas, USVI, or other places that carry it for the ABC feed.
  20. Plus, HBCU GO sports as well from Allen.
  21. She's been there for nine years now?! Danggggg. I feel like its only been yesterday since she left KSNV Las Vegas.
  22. Actually... 12 hours: 4-10am, 12-1pm, 4-7pm, 9-11pm.
  23. Two things... I don't think I've ever seen a report about KAPP/KVEW win in any timeslot. Thanks to great help from good 'ol pal Austin Reed, KAPP/KVEW is #1 at 5:00pm. https://www.facebook.com/AppleValleyNewsNow/posts/the-ratings-are-in-apple-valley-news-now-is-rated-number-1-in-the-5-pm-time-slot/1156950043128548/ Some asshat decided to cause harm or damage and temporarily turn off KWTV's radar. Thankfully, it has been restored but police are looking for the person who did it. https://www.news9.com/story/686c1415dfc52927077f9d5c/vandal-disables-power-to-lifesaving-news-9-weather-radar?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_KWTV_-_NEWS_9&fbclid=IwY2xjawLZbSNleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHqvXGpTnqv2DvzIfxifew946WE_oFArEDgATi_ON4tEn4eDyNFkTfVfcQdBW_aem_qCNLydYvaqth3ItxeOT3UQ
  24. With today's news, I will NOT be shocked if Marcelle Fontenot and Jim Hummel leave the last of the crap that is KADN/KLAF and return to KATC under new Gray Media ownership. I wouldn't be shocked in the slightest.
  25. It sounds like come the end of the year, if this goes through, Merit TV will either be finished (shut down) or something and COMPLETELY different with new ownership.
