  1. This post has now aged poorly -- Almost 3 years and AMG idiocy later... They're back to 4 Also WHNS has 7
  2. I actually applaud when ND's/AND's step in when needed... I think it gives them new perspective that many times they forget about.
  3. Not to get off topic too much, but my sister avoided the Dorr tornado by a mile, and my parents avoided the Lansing one by 1/2 mile!
  4. They're too busy covering local weather for Allen stations.. what would you expect??
  5. They're doing the same thing as Sinclair did -- took them FOREVER to roll out and Sinclair's is what, almost a decade old (combining the glass/curves 1.0 and 2.0 looks) and also very stale?
  6. Also of note, the Nexstar package has been around waaay longer than GrayONE
  7. Whoa -- haven't really seen any news outlets do a quick story like this... He really must've done something wrong for them to post something like this...
  8. That and their iconic FOX 8 with the Fleur de LIs O
  9. WFRV apparently parts ways with Michele McCormack, after her DUI arrest...
  10. Really frickin irritates me when they can't get the fonts correct
  11. Speaking of WXMI, they have launched a re-branded weather team: The Weather Ready Team... with Weather Ready Alerts... Based on the story, it's very similiar sounding to TEGNA's "Weather Impact" branding.. Interested to see if this will be a local thing, or will it be launched at other Scripps stations....
  12. Question: Last year or so, WHO in Des Moines introduced former KCCI meteorologist Metinka Slater to their station... I've yet to see her do anything on-air and a search of their website only shows the same introduction clip... Has anyone heard if she's even doing anything there?? (Not sure if this question belongs here or in Out & About -- move if needed)
  13. Josh Cozart is the new Chief Meteorologist for KOIN
  14. WXMI is joining the Scripps-ification movement -- less anchor desk time, more "neighborhood reporters"
  15. KTVI and KDVR would be great candidates for this package... Nexstar has some big FOX stations in larger markets that would make them stand out
  16. KSWB would be another great fit for this package
  17. Plus they have the most conflicts: Boston WCVB/WFXT, Orlando WESH/WFTV, and Pittsburgh WTAE/WPXI
  18. Yes, yes, yes... I approve of this! I was really hoping they would finally ditch the Tribune graphics for this...
  19. I don't know why they just don't get absorbed into the O&O stations??
  20. This is just gross... No personality... Spoken like a true national weatherman...
  21. Plus their stock prices keep plummeting... Definitely something amiss
  22. The pink slip express pulled into Grand Rapids' WXMI -- Around 10 were let go and the sports department is supposedly gone, per FTVLive I'm still shocked that they got Terri DeBoer. I'm very curious how much they offered her. She's only on-air 3 days. It couldn't have been cheap. Especially since they had to rid of the 3 females before her to get her there. I know they nabbed her just for ratings....
  23. The Circle 7 logo above the desk is kinda cool -- other than thet, meh...
  24. I'm not a fan of this update... It feels like a cheapened update... Some of the graphics/motions look like they were taken from a third-party website...
