  1. I'm not a fan of this update... It feels like a cheapened update... Some of the graphics/motions look like they were taken from a third-party website...
  2. I will say that the animations are a lot smoother than when they first launched, what 7-ish years ago?
  3. KNXV has named Fay Fredricks as the successor to Katie Raml after her retirement. She will co-ancher with Javier Soto beginning May 19. https://www.abc15.com/about-us/news-releases/abc15-arizona-names-fay-fredricks-as-evening-news-anchor?fbclid=IwY2xjawIXOqRleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHZL0RJEBi6A1E-YP5X3pmh7IxVysrXgV3OdfEZOtCy6tOBOtWG1-tw4AjA_aem_w04AdsKk0pNwpnqDCZ3xcQ
  4. Another Nexstar station has switched to an aging package.... KOLR has also rebranded to "Ozark's First"
  5. Yes many Gray stations will usually start integrating GrayOne with the weather intros and updated logos... Update is iminent, but could be 1 week, could be another month.. WNEM was using GrayOne Weather Intros for well over a month before switching over...
  6. This is almost exactly like Tegna's WTLV-WJXX FIrst Coast News in Jacksonville.
  7. My question though: isn't it federal law to break into programming for life-threatening severe weather? So isn't Allen "technically" breaking the law because they aren't providing life-saving information?? I just can't see TWC providing live coverage, especially if they struggle bad enough with who they have for national coverage?? I'm just curious if there are lawsuits just waiting to happen??
  8. I doubt this would happen with Hearst, but it would be nice to have... They can be like Griffin and have 2 strong stations
  9. So when severe weather strikes, will we get coverage or will we get reruns of Storm Stories?
  10. Legendary Indianapolis Meteorologist Chuck Lofton is retiring from WTHR around June 1, after the Indy 500
  11. Robb Ellis has again switched stations... He is now at WTHR -- Happned Mid-October
  12. WWLP (NBC) also switched to this package either earlier this year or late last year
  13. For whatever reason, KVEO downgraded their graphics to the quickly aging "ABC-1" graphics and changed over to Overture for music..
  14. Lisa is the perfect fit for chief -- congrats to her and her team and to MIke for his decades of service...
  15. Not to mention many of their studios are above amazing...
  16. Nexstar's WPRI has picked up the WPIX package
  17. If they really felt like giving an ounce of energy to it, they "could" do a microclimate forecast like many of the CA stations do... Do a 7-Day for Lakeshore, Inland, and the Mountains to the West....
  18. None of the stations in the Grand Rapids market do this... And there can be wild differences between Holland/Muskegon and Grand Rapids
  19. OMG this was waaaaaaaayyyyyy overdue.... They were using a package from, when late 2000s, early 10s? One thing that didn't change: Lazy 7-day Forecasts -- For years and years, their 7-day forecasts just look like this.. A suggestion of an even number or 10s, 20s, 30s, etc..
  20. He should've stayed producing those shows that you see at 2am on various channels
  21. Per FTVLive, WREX in Rockford, IL and possibly KIMT will be hubbed out of KWWL in Waterloo, IA. This will be a big blow for the Rockford market.. Isn't WREX the powerhouse there??
  22. Well it's not WZZM -- they just hired retired CM George Lessens' replacement --- for weekends...
  23. Did not know that -- that makes sense then
  24. I thought the same thing...
  25. At bare minimum, it looks like it belongs to a small-market Texas station, not Southern CA
