Former WPIXer Betty Nguyen is joining WFOR as a morning anchor. Marybel Rodriguez remains and will now anchor only the 9am and noon newscasts.

With pitchers and catchers reporting this week and spring training about to get underway, this is the place to talk about broadcast-related aspects of the season. Melanie Newman and Katie Nolan aren’t coming back to Apple Friday Night Baseball this season. They’ll use the more traditional two-person booth with Wayne Randazzo and Dontrelle Willis being one of the teams. They’re still deciding on the second broadcast team.
