    Also wanted to mention (if this needs it's own thread or should be deleted please do so) that WXIA has more or less recently updated it's intros with more elements in a way to move away from the generic TEGNA look. Also it is using some music package previously unheard to me, might just be a C Clairty rework but I'm not sure.

    I just wanted to point out WGCL (WANF) has thrown some MORE shade at WSB in a new ad, this time for them starting a 3pm newscast only for election season

    Very interesting design, it's very simplistic, not sure if the same wood as the floor and walls works though. But just in time for the election!

    Really like the van! Do we have any idea when these promos will start airing and has any anchor teased the new set yet?

    Correct me if I'm wrong but are three pm newscast really a thing outside the ATL market on the east coast?

    Sounds simple enough to me. Now let's mass market it everywhere even though it'll be a rating's flop and reformat it several times before annexing the whole thing in less than a decade!

    I would not go full out on that just yet. Yes WSB is slowly dying but it's legacy and anchors will keep it up until the ship sinks. WAGA will be their real competitor for the foreseeable future for #2 thanks to the rate WXIA is going thanks to TEGNA until WSB starts to kick the bucket (aka the current anchors start leaving) Plus we will have to wait and see what product ANF even produces, but we do have what maybe three weeks until launch so not too long? Just pray they don't get any of the extremely bad Gray packages!

    So now I ask this question, what next? If the letters WANF are approved and make their debut on October third, should we expect to see the launch of Atlanta News First then as well? Numerous anchors said the new set would debut in October, should we assume October third too? Is a temporary period of ratings instability on the horizon with yet another rebrand Atlanta viewers (like myself) will go through? Finally, moving forward should all new set talk be moved here or should the set and ANF remain separate threads?

    Very true, obviously there won't be another Tim Russet who raised the bar for moderators, but there's just something about the fact that Todd undoubtedly lowered that same bar

    The rumors keep growing so might as well make a thread right? With rumors over Savanah's long-ish absence from "TODAY", some say it could mean something more. That potentially being she or Kristen Welker could become the first female moderator since the position's inaugural holder Martha Roundtree.
