  1. Wonder if Gray would be interested in the Yuma duopoly with KYMA & treat Arizona like Georgia having a station in each market. They already have that somewhat by having KAZS 27 there just over a year ago as part of Arizona's Family Sports ahead of airing Suns games, but unlike the other 2 markets, they don't have a direct local presence there as the only newscasts that air are the ones from KPHO/KTVK that are simulcasted there to the whole state.
  2. Last Friday was Meteorologist Bree Smith's last day at WTVF (CBS Nashville). https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Ajj9P64YK/
  3. Looks like when the new CBS Evening News launches on the 27th, they'll be a graphics refresh of sorts. Also, nice to see a promo where there isn't much focus on the anchors, which kinda makes sense considering the new multi-anchor setup.
  4. Maurice also was just on during halftime of Chargers/Texans doing a Special Report & as well being on CBS Saturday Morning earlier today.
  5. CBS did have DuBois on the ground for tonight's CBS Evening News.
  6. Amongst the L.A. network affiliated stations, only KABC is airing primetime programming with the other stations still on wall-to-wall coverage, although they did do an update during one of the local station breaks.
  7. Looks like WABC will be starting to move into the new Disney space at 7 Hudson Square pretty soon.
  8. CBS Sports tribute to Greg Gumbel narrated by colleague JB that aired during halftime of the first game of the HBCU college basketball doubleheader today & likely to be shown again tomorrow on The NFL Today.
  9. Greg Gumbel, longtime sportscaster at ESPN, CBS, & NBC, has passed away at the age of 78.
  10. Speaking of being short-staffed, looks like, based off of this YT video, David Novarro worked the Noon newscast today solo.
  11. The old WTBS now Peachtree TV, which if I'm not mistaken north of the border in Canada, is still being shown like it was back in the old SuperStation days getting similar treatment to WPIX, WGN, & KTLA.
  12. Looks like Air7 is getting a new, updated look soon. https://x.com/marcel_cameraop/status/1868063888173830404
  13. And all games (2 Saturday & 3 Sunday) will air on the main KARE (NBC/Minneapolis) 11.1 channel, not on a subchannel or sister station like other teams arrangements. No word yet on broadcast arrangements in the other markets in Minnesota (IE Duluth, Rochester, Mankato), although worse case, I'd think FanDuel Sports North will air those games in those markets.
  14. If KTVK/KPHO (Phoenix) ever decides to go this route, shouldn't be too hard to find one in this market considering all the local ones that advertise a lot on TV & radio too like Lerner and Rowe, Rafi Law Group, & Sweet James.
  15. Unfortunate for Jim if that's the case in terms of how he left. He's one of the best reporters they had & looks like they're grooming Josh Eininger into a similar role that he had. At least for some NYers, no more worrying about confusing Jim Dolan with the MSG, Knicks, & Rangers owner that many love to hate in James Dolan.
  16. I'm guessing with the close of the DC bureau, the Cox stations will likely have to lean on their respective networks and/or CNN for news in the nation's capital.
  17. NY-bias, that's what it is & it's not an ABC-only issue, CBS & NBC are guilty of this too, that's what being based in the no. 1 market can do.
  18. KPNX (NBC Phoenix) along with I assume other TEGNA stations utilizing for Election Night the ticker we saw WNEP (ABC Scranton/Wilkes Barre) testing out just over a week ago promting as well where viewers can watch local election coverage via + apps. Noticing this even now, not sure about other TEGNA stations, but KPNX still has the ticker running through commercials & even now during syndicated programming they're airing, Live with Kelly & Mark.
  19. Here in Phoenix, KPHO (CBS) & KPNX (NBC) are showing network coverage as scheduled (latter scrolling info right now about local coverage on 12+ streaming app later on). KSAZ (FOX) & KNXV (ABC) are airing their reg. scheduled newscast at 5.
  20. With Maurice Dubois involved with network election coverage, Dick Brennan is filling in for him locally on election night.
  21. Wouldn't be surprised if this is WCBS's plan for handling Maurice once he takes over F/T on the CBS Evening News & he can still do the 11pm newscast.
  22. The timing of the changeover makes sense considering the ABC News website refrehed to a similar site setup as well.
  23. I can get on now, looks like they got the refresh that KTRK's website got yesterday to coincide with the refresh of the ABC News website.
  24. Because it's licensed in New Jersey unlike WNBC 4 & WABC 7. WNET, the main PBS station in NYC, licensed to Newark is in kinda a similar boat.
  25. Just heard, watching their coverage, WFTS (ABC Tampa) did take a power hit minutes ago, but they're still up & running.
