And all games (2 Saturday & 3 Sunday) will air on the main KARE (NBC/Minneapolis) 11.1 channel, not on a subchannel or sister station like other teams arrangements. No word yet on broadcast arrangements in the other markets in Minnesota (IE Duluth, Rochester, Mankato), although worse case, I'd think FanDuel Sports North will air those games in those markets.

If KTVK/KPHO (Phoenix) ever decides to go this route, shouldn't be too hard to find one in this market considering all the local ones that advertise a lot on TV & radio too like Lerner and Rowe, Rafi Law Group, & Sweet James.
-
Unfortunate for Jim if that's the case in terms of how he left. He's one of the best reporters they had & looks like they're grooming Josh Eininger into a similar role that he had. At least for some NYers, no more worrying about confusing Jim Dolan with the MSG, Knicks, & Rangers owner that many love to hate in James Dolan.

I'm guessing with the close of the DC bureau, the Cox stations will likely have to lean on their respective networks and/or CNN for news in the nation's capital.
-
NY-bias, that's what it is & it's not an ABC-only issue, CBS & NBC are guilty of this too, that's what being based in the no. 1 market can do.

KPNX (NBC Phoenix) along with I assume other TEGNA stations utilizing for Election Night the ticker we saw WNEP (ABC Scranton/Wilkes Barre) testing out just over a week ago promting as well where viewers can watch local election coverage via + apps. Noticing this even now, not sure about other TEGNA stations, but KPNX still has the ticker running through commercials & even now during syndicated programming they're airing, Live with Kelly & Mark.

Here in Phoenix, KPHO (CBS) & KPNX (NBC) are showing network coverage as scheduled (latter scrolling info right now about local coverage on 12+ streaming app later on). KSAZ (FOX) & KNXV (ABC) are airing their reg. scheduled newscast at 5.

With Maurice Dubois involved with network election coverage, Dick Brennan is filling in for him locally on election night.
-
Wouldn't be surprised if this is WCBS's plan for handling Maurice once he takes over F/T on the CBS Evening News & he can still do the 11pm newscast.

ABC changing their logo; New graphics coming for ABC owned stations
NYAZSporty replied to Briella's topic in Graphics
The timing of the changeover makes sense considering the ABC News website refrehed to a similar site setup as well. -
I can get on now, looks like they got the refresh that KTRK's website got yesterday to coincide with the refresh of the ABC News website.
-
Because it's licensed in New Jersey unlike WNBC 4 & WABC 7. WNET, the main PBS station in NYC, licensed to Newark is in kinda a similar boat.
-
Just heard, watching their coverage, WFTS (ABC Tampa) did take a power hit minutes ago, but they're still up & running.
-
Yes, WTOG until August of last year, as they winded down CW affiliations in their owned markets (including Detroit, only to return last month) had Tampa Bay NOW which was produced by CBS O&O WFOR in Miami. Now, newscasts for former CW affiliates from CBS are pretty much now just in markets where they have a sister CBS O&O station.

Eight CBS Stations to Ditch CW and Go Independent This Fall
NYAZSporty replied to AKA's topic in General TV
Here in Phoenix, it's interesting as I see KSAZ (FOX) & KPNX (NBC) do station ID's not just at the top of the hour, but also during network programming, coming out of local station breaks, even if they return & a network promo or nat'l ad is airing. -
The Ever-Evolving Gray Graphics Situation...Thread
NYAZSporty replied to NEOMatrix's topic in Graphics
Good to see, unlike the CBS O&O's, Gray continuing to embrace for its CBS affiliates using the CBS O&O package (thx ABC7Denver for correction) theme music. And btw, while there's new graphics, WOIO's cut of this has been used before by them back around the time they were transitioning from 19 Action News to Cleveland 19 News using John Young as v/o. -
I know KPIX (San Francisco) is already doing this with Julliete Goodrich & Sara Donchey (although she's currently on leave for personal reasons). I'd think for L.A. (KCBS), Pat Harvey & in NYC (WCBS) Kristine Johnson (If it weren't for him getting the CBSEN gig, Maurice Dubois would be the solo anchor).

Considering how much flack Trump gives to George, clause or not, there was NO SHOT he was going to be involved with the debate.

Jorge Ramos is leaving Univision after not coming to an agreement on a new contract as the current one ends at the end of the year. Sounds like he'll be still doing news en Espanol post-Univision. If it weren't for them switching anchors recently from Jose Diaz-Balart to Julio Vaqueiro with the former focusing more on MSNBC, could've seen Jorge jump over to Telemundo & he still might. https://deadline.com/2024/09/jorge-ramos-exit-univision-1236082636/

Nice to see looking at reports on their YouTube channel on the eve of the Presidential Debate hosted by ABC News down the road in Philly, ABC7 pulling out all the stops having morning anchor Mike Marza & nightime anchor Sade Baderinwa outside the venue reporting.

general thread NBC Sports/NBCSN/Golf Channel/NBC RSNs Thread
NYAZSporty replied to WCAUTVNBC10's topic in Sport Center
For all we know, this just must be for their NFL coverage. I'd expect NBC Sports Bay Area to get a similar refresh for their 49ers coverage come Monday before & after their MNF game against the Jets. -
The Ever-Evolving Gray Graphics Situation...Thread

People in KC seeing this rebrand & the look of the KCTV 5 logo looks similar to the WDAF FOX 4 logo. Not holding my breath on seeing GrayONE here in Phoenix anytime soon considering the branding of KPHO as CBS5 even with it already implemented in sister CBS affiliate KOLD downstate in Tucson. -
NBC Sports Chicago, ahead of it's sign off on September 30th, produced a special that aired after last night's White Sox/Orioles game looking back the top Chicago sports moments over the 20 yrs. NBSCHI was around when it was also Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
-
It'll air on CBS O&O's in Chicago (WBBM), Detroit (WWJ), Los Angeles (KCBS), Miami (WFOR), & San Francisco (KPIX).

Looks like CBS has brought the packaged they debuted last February for the Super Bowl for all CBS broadcast games while CBS Sports Network so far has maintains the old package.
