She reported Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week on the morning newscast. She was welcomed on Thursday morning. I am speculating that she was brought in to replace Elaine Quijano on weekend mornings alongside Doug Williams. I guess we will have to wait and see! congratulations, you were correct!

The question is will she be a long term placement in lieu of the upcoming Paramount layoffs? 1
MediaZone4K 2661 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Dana Tyler spotted in the wild. She cameoed as a reporter on Law & Order SVU this past Thursday. Sue Simmons has done so in the past. 4
GraphicsMan 345 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Good to see her doing well. She sorta disappeared after leaving the station she’s not active on social media. 2
Geoffrey 958 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 Trying to watch the 5:00 on YouTube TV but it's the CBS News 24/7 show The Takeout instead. But if I go to cbsnews.com/live, I can watch the broadcast. Earlier at noon, the YouTube TV feed was really bad and not really possible to sit through for more than a few seconds. I guess they swapped it with the national stream, but weird they didn't pick the NY one. (I'm not sure if the daytime programming aired or if this only affects news.)
ActionNews 12 Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Please tell me Cindy Hsu has just been on a very long vacation. Her pic still comes up as anchor of the news at noon when they play those advertisements, but she hasn’t been there in weeks. Usually Jessica Moore is there now, and never says she’s in for Cindy. She’s the last anchor from when I was younger watching CBS 2, and still one of the very best in all of NYC. 1

She’s the last anchor from when I was younger watching CBS 2, and still one of the very best in all of NYC. I noticed this, too. For some reason, the fill-in anchor at noon never says “in for Cindy.” It hasn’t just been for this extended absence. Five-second promos advertising Cindy at noon continue airing on TV, in addition to the streaming advertisement you posted above. Cindy’s bio is also still posted on the website. Speaking of website bios, I noticed that bios for Zinnia Maldonado and Alecia Reid were both removed from the bios page on the website. Neither of them has reported since late October and they both must have been victims of the mass layoffs that hit CBS News and Stations in early November. I also noticed that the bio for Krystle Rich, a sports reporter who was working for WCBS, KYW, and CBS Sports, was removed from the bios page, too. She had only joined earlier in 2025 and I’m not sure if she is still working for KYW or CBS Sports and is just no longer with WCBS, or if she is completely gone. Edited December 3, 2025 by bc485 2

I called this months ago. SMH. It's a shame to see this come into fruition. Hopefully WNBC or WABC can get him somehow. I would say a station with a weak anchor bench like WNYW but that place has high turnover. Edited December 29, 2025 by MediaZone4K 1

MediaZone4K 2661 Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 Jennifer McLogan is stepping back from her daily reporting duties but according to Kristine Johnson she's not retiring. Before she was interrupted by Kristine, Jennifer said she hoped to be able to report at least two to three days a week. I questioned if this is fully Jennifer's choice given what's going on at CBS. 1

Geoffrey 958 Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 So happy to see Cindy back. I think I'm not alone in saying that I was growing increasingly concerned. Cindy brings so much light and warmth to Channel 2's airwaves and the station is instantly better with her there. 4

NYNewsCoverage 337 Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 An unusual sight today at 5pm: 2 men anchoring together, Allen Devlin and Dick Brennan. I still don't know why it's so rare in today's world, when 2 women together is so customary. I supppose the new old CBS Evening News broke the mold 1

I supppose the new old CBS Evening News broke the mold supposedly, because the newscasts are tailored for women, the audience skews female and research shows they don't respond well to two male anchors. The closest other stations have done is have a male anchor read the show solo, and male meteorologist for the weather segment.

ActionNews 12 Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Always thought that was their best talent open. Wish they’d bring it back. The one they use now is sleek but so boring. I also can’t used to calling it CBS New York. I still call it channel 2 news and that hasn’t been a thing since the 90s lol 3

That would be a really major downgrade for him, from evening network news co-anchor to morning show co-host (and junior co-host at that, since Rosanna is always going to be top dog). I can't see him doing it.
