CalItalian2 163 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Will they be on a new set or will it mostly have the same look? The current set is not that old and just got a refresh not too long ago. They are still on the current set at NBC Burbank today. I think that tells you it will be all new.
LoadStar 364 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Is Access Hollywood/Access Hollywood Live moving as well? Far as I remember, those two are KNBC productions syndicated through NBCUniversal Television Distribution. If so, then with the move of KNBC and The Tonight Show, that would make Days of our Lives the last production at the Burbank Studios. Edit: after watching that report linked to above, it almost sounds like *everything* is moving, finally, although they didn't mention Days, nor were they all that specific about Access Hollywood.

I believe they took the monitors behind the current set over to the new building, since it got replaced by a duratran several weeks/months ago.
ABC 7 Denver 1729 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I hope that this means an updated graphics (Look F.2) package (and maybe losing NBC News) too. Look F is becoming a bit stale in comparison to the new CBS graphics and NBC News has definitely lost it's flare since the 2007 update. I'm excited to see the new NBC 4!
mbhcity 3 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 From some of the tweets, I've been seeing Saturday night is the last night.
CalItalian2 163 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 http://www.nbclosangeles.com/video/#!/on-air/as-seen-on/NewsConference---KNBC-TV-makes-the-big-move-to-Universal/243036041 (KNBC) News Conference: KNBC-TV Makes the Big Move to Universal GREAT video tour of KNBC's current newsroom and studio from Conan Nolan.
SFTV 529 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Interesting how they kept that green screen next to the newsroom desk. It used to be KNSD's weather wall during the budget cuts when KNBC and sometimes KNTV on weekends would do weather for KNSD. I guess they still use it.
rah6448 21 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 The 11pm weekday team has signed off for the last time from Studio 10 in Burbank...and they said they'll be back Monday from the new digs!
A3N 1002 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 The 11pm weekday team has signed off for the last time from Studio 10 in Burbank...and they said they'll be back Monday from the new digs! It's interesting that there are different responses as to when they're going to broadcast from their new facility.I've seen Sunday as when they're going to debut, yet they said good bye to their current studio saying it was the last broadcast. What do they plan to do Saturday? I'll wake up to catch Today in LA on Saturday to see where they're broadcasting from.
rah6448 21 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I think I'll be watching tomorrow morning myself...just to make sure. Can't rule out at least seeing something of the new stuff tomorrow...but Sunday does seem legit.
JoseRM303 171 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Watching "Today in LA" right now still in the old studio. Perhaps the weekday crew were saying it's their last day in the studios and Sunday will be the last for the weekend crew in the Burbank studios.
MonkeyFighter 15 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 The new studio is set to debut at 5pm on Sunday.
Geoffrey 872 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I've heard that there will be an update to the graphics package tomorrow night.
ABC 7 Denver 1729 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I've heard that there will be an update to the graphics package tomorrow night. Yay! Good.
Jess 1116 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 An update? I wonder if 10's getting that too. They've debuted a new First Alert Weather logo for their app.
A3N 1002 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Has this made it on air yet? http://vimeo.com/83910103 Seems like the updated look could have a few of these elements. I did notice that the 4 is white instead of blue..
Geoffrey 872 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I think it could be more angled, like WNBC's topical promo graphics.

Yes, there are a few promos that have been up for a year or so. However, the link I posted was a programming lineup graphic that was just uploaded three weeks ago.
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 The new studio is set to debut at 5pm on Sunday. Best possible time for a practice run since everybody else will probably be watching KTTV for the Super Bowl.

24994J 5621 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 "NBC 4 You"? Facepalm JimTM! We need you!
tvnewsjunkie 7 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Bingo!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niInDYKzB0s this matches what wnbc has been using for promos recently. https://vimeo.com/85632152
rah6448 21 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I surmise that KNBC's new GFX may echo KXAS' current package, given the L3s seen in the promos:
