RGSJenkins 435 Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 KOB now has CNN L3's minus the motion.
NewsStar2 90 Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 The problem with Wichita is that the eras are scattered - KAKE has plenty from the 80s while KWCH has plenty from the 90s. As for KSNW, it’s the same as KAKE, yet the annoying part is that their 1986 newscast has no music on the open. Not to go too far off tangent, but what's more annoying is the only other stuff that that I have from KSNW from that period is on a tape that rewound off the reel and I just haven't had a moment to get it fixed. It's most of the same elements that have been uploaded, in either SP or LP quality. Not too much new, but still, it's more than was there before. For me, the big one I'm trying to track down is KWCH's "The Look of a Leader" era stuff, especially when it comes to newscasts and similar shows. The few things I have uploaded on YouTube are all that I have so far so I'm not sure if some of the stuff I've heard on other tapes I have is part of it or is just production music.
newsn8te 202 Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Heartlands WFFT updated their news and weather logo while keeping the old nexstar package. Now know as FoX55, they have the o&o logo while mocking the Tribune logo transition In the close, you can see the new weather logo. Tell me, where did they get the idea for that logo? ;) 2

Samantha 2902 Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 KOB now has CNN L3's minus the motion. Oh good grief, that's bad. In more ways than one.
ABC 7 Denver 1729 Posted March 22, 2018 Author Posted March 22, 2018 I wonder where they got these transitions from... 2
NEOMatrix 1307 Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 I wonder where they got these transitions from... KNIN is owned by Raycom but managed by Scripps’ KIVI. 3
TSSZNews 1052 Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 They stole that weather logo from WHBQ. I wish they had stolen the rest of their package. 1
DetroitTVNews 66 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 It appears WNEM has gone back to using knockoffs of other graphics packages. This time, the CBS O&O 2016 graphics.

qunewsguy 378 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 That's not a knockoff. That's the real package. They just don't have Gotham installed on their CG machines. 3
inanimatecarbonrod 1 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 I wonder where they got these transitions from... You'd think Scripps would have spellcheck. Last I remember Boise only had one I.
MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie 949 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Although Gotham is being used for weather
WestleyWolf 122 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I really thought they were going to use the package from WGCL and KPTV but i guess not.
Info Junkie 1286 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I personally thought WNEM would use KOAA-TV’s Scripps knockoff since the former knocked off Scripps itself. 1
ABC 7 Denver 1729 Posted April 25, 2018 Author Posted April 25, 2018 I personally thought WNEM would use KOAA-TV’s Scripps knockoff since the former knocked off Scripps itself. I REALLY don't like that version.
Conrad 113 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I personally thought WNEM would use KOAA-TV’s Scripps knockoff since the former knocked off Scripps itself. My hopes were for WNEM using the actual Scripps graphics, which are now syndicated (KNBN uses them). 2
MidwestTV 1244 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I personally thought WNEM would use KOAA-TV’s Scripps knockoff since the former knocked off Scripps itself. those lower thirds are WAY too high. what were they thinking? 4
WestleyWolf 122 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 those lower thirds are WAY too high. what were they thinking? i think they placed it where the old 4X3 safe zone goes. i think they should lower it if no one is watching it on a 4X3 TV. 3
dman748 1256 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 The font choice ruins it. Then again, WSMV bastardized the current NBC O&O graphics, so what else is new. Why would WSMV/WNEM ruin the O&O looks like that? I mean the graphics looks good but the fonts on BOTH stations looks terrible imo 3
tyrannical bastard 4033 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 If Scripps is syndicating their package, It's another sign that the vultures are circulating them (with all of the layoffs and proxy fights)...

It's so tacky to combine the 2 fonts together 1
Samantha 2902 Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I'm still baffled they are using Gotham for weather but nowhere else... It's so tacky to combine the 2 fonts together They need to get that typeface off their weather computer and put it on their CG. Myriad, to me, always will be the default or the indicator of a missing font. That's just the way it is. 1
kfc513 238 Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 That's not a knockoff. That's the real package. They just don't have Gotham installed on their CG machines. That's NOT the real package. 2 1
