ABC 7 Denver 1712
That's not a knockoff. That's the real package. They just don't have Gotham installed on their CG machines. WNEM is the real deal? No!! No it isn't. 1 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13380-holy-graphics-knockoff-batman/page/12/#findComment-202843 Share on other sites
TennTV1983 801
That's NOT the real package. Looking at that now, the poorly-done transitional elements and animation are a dead giveaway of a mock-up compared to the original Linear Drift version. 2 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13380-holy-graphics-knockoff-batman/page/12/#findComment-202844 Share on other sites

MidwestTV 1229
That's NOT the real package. MidwestTV 1229
Because the roll out isn't complete. And how hard is it to fly a drone or something to shoot footage at night? Info Junkie 1286
I’m guessing WBOC used the KMTV/KRIS Giant Octopus package and later kept butchering it... 2 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13380-holy-graphics-knockoff-batman/page/12/#findComment-203214 Share on other sites

Ntropolis 596
And how hard is it to fly a drone or something to shoot footage at night? That seems like a lazy excuse. Part 107 FAA regulations state you need a waiver to fly past 30 minutes of civil twilight (30 minutes past sunset). So it’s not crazy impossible, just a little tougher than doing some quick shots with a drone at night. You can always do a nighttime timelapse on the ground... that would look cool 1 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13380-holy-graphics-knockoff-batman/page/12/#findComment-203276 Share on other sites

Info Junkie 1286
This isn’t really a bad open graphics-wise, but when you use the voice of tabloid TV news alongside a very mellow-sounding news theme, you get a very mis-matched news open. Hubbard would later make more bad choices for their TV stations’ imaging in the years to come: 2 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13380-holy-graphics-knockoff-batman/page/12/#findComment-207009 Share on other sites

T.L. Hughes 881
A KSDK promo from 1997. Strange that what was then a Gannett station used a modified version of the Hearst "Camera" package, and a logo animation similar to what those stations used at that time in this promo. 3 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13380-holy-graphics-knockoff-batman/page/12/#findComment-209711 Share on other sites
