atlnews2 631 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Looks like Gray and dish are in a dispute. Gray Stations started the usual warning messages on their websites

They're the third DSS provider in a 2 way race to the bottom with DirecTV. 2

tyrannical bastard 4676 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 That's the joke. Like the third place station in a two station race. Dish has always been scum so it's probably Sling TV that keeps them in business. 2 1
nathannah 2792 Posted April 2 Posted April 2 In case you're wondering how bad off AMG is hiking Weather Channel carriage fees, this is an early preview with a provider just seeing them charge $5 a month for a subscription to it in the app store and finding it cheaper for their subscribers to NOT take it. They opted out and probably avoided having to pick up his other filler at high prices, and get to free-plug KCWH-DT2, along with a cheaper to carry AccuWeather.

A very good underrated channel that's been around for decades. Probably better for 24/7 local weather coverage than TWC's partial coverage. 2
Megatron81 343 Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I think that was the reason Charter Spectrum added ACCUWeather Network in its lineup in Jan 2021 the channel that it was on was always blank no info until a couple of years ago don't ask why they kept it blank for ACCUWeather until Summer Of 2024. Spectrum & Byron Allen agreed to add a couple of his cable networks other than The Weather Channel. I like ACCUWeather local forecast for the 48-hour loop of radar to see the models if storms will be coming or not & minute-cast as well. I wish that they kept the pretape stuff than the radar on a loop with music in late night & the weekends.
AmericanErrorist 267 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) DirecTV and 5 Morgan Murphy stations have been at loggerheads since early March: https://rbr.com/five-morgan-murphy-stations-blocked-in-latest-retrans-impasse/ Edited April 23 by AmericanErrorist
gsrecaps 22 Posted May 2 Posted May 2 DirecTV's contract with Griffin Media has expired. Can't find a source right now but here's a screenshot from the TV Promise site:
JCB4TV 362 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 It appears that DIRECTV and Morgan Murphy have made a deal. https://www.koamnewsnow.com/news/top-stories/koam-tv-on-directv-service-expected-to-be-restored-friday-evening/article_40750bb7-5753-4529-bfcd-54fcfed43092.html
DENDude 259 Posted Monday at 03:16 AM Posted Monday at 03:16 AM At 8:00PM this evening KMGH & KCDO were dropped from DirecTV, due to a contract dispute between DirecTV & Scrips.

Hell of a timing before the Stanley Cup Final and the NBA Finals for the Scripps ABC stations.

Especially in Las Vegas where the Golden Knights play & whose ABC affiliate (KTNV) is owned by Scripps. At least since this isn't a direct dispute between DIRECTV & Disney, folks in affected areas can obviously watch OTA, but also on the ESPN app.
