J1975am 208 Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Starting Monday (March 5), KADN in Lafayette will have a midday newscast on its NBC subchannel (15.2). It will go head to head with KLFY's noon newscast, formerly known as "Meet Your Neighbor" (even though there is an interview segment by that title in the noon news itself)... 5
WAVY 10 Fan 233 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 For the month of February, WTKR won the 5:00 timeslot for the first time since 1994 (before the station ditched the Eyewitness News branding for the short-lived TV-3 News branding) 2

Combine the 3pm Ellen lead-in with Barbara and Les, two of the longest tenured anchors in the market...that's pretty damn good. On the flip side...what does this mean for the other two stations? 5
newsbot 271 Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 The ftvlive game cannot be played without the cooperation of the broadcast talent agents. Scott won't tell you that part. The fact that talent agents are heavy advertisers on his blog (and his own feed includes spoonfed PR from agents) kind of gives the game away. 1

rkolsen 1685 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 KGW had the only 7pm news in Portland with LIVE at 7:00. Now, its Tonight with Cassidy and no longer covering local news at that time. In other words, TEGNA-itis has kicked into full gear: Yikes. I’m amazed she still has time to roll the prompter with all her jumping around. 2
C Block 1566 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 What did I just watch? I normally love KGW, but that is a bizarre move. I can't tell whether that's a terrible idea or genius. Any chance the full episode is anywhere?

ProButtonPusher 230 Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 I can’t get over how ugly those handheld prompter controllers that TEGNA and FOX O&Os use. They’re literally all I can look at whenever I see them in use. You’d think due to their size they could motivate Autoscript to make a more discrete product. 4
