Forgot to edit this into my previous post. Confirmed as an anchor/reporter! No set schedule for the anchor role just yet, however. (There's more to that thread that besides what's shown below, too)

It should also be noted that the station just hired a new news director named Greg Phillips (formerly from WVUE), who started work at WMC-TV a couple of weeks ago.

Bill Martin is now doing scaling time like Wilma Smith back then

Lou Maglio will anchor 10pm news starting tonight; according to Scott he has bragging rights, because he told you a few days ago :(

The ftvlive game cannot be played without the cooperation of the broadcast talent agents.

Scott won't tell you that part.

Starting Monday (March 5), KADN in Lafayette will have a midday newscast on its NBC subchannel (15.2). It will go head to head with KLFY's noon newscast, formerly known as "Meet Your Neighbor" (even though there is an interview segment by that title in the noon news itself)...

For the month of February, WTKR won the 5:00 timeslot for the first time since 1994 (before the station ditched the Eyewitness News branding for the short-lived TV-3 News branding)

That's pretty damn interesting... most of my child and adult life they've been last place. Combine the 3pm Ellen lead-in with Barbara and Les, two of the longest tenured anchors in the market...that's pretty damn good.

On the flip side...what does this mean for the other two stations?

The fact that talent agents are heavy advertisers on his blog (and his own feed includes spoonfed PR from agents) kind of gives the game away.

KGW had the only 7pm news in Portland with LIVE at 7:00.

Now, its Tonight with Cassidy and no longer covering local news at that time.

In other words, TEGNA-itis has kicked into full gear:

Yikes. I’m amazed she still has time to roll the prompter with all her jumping around.

I can’t get over how ugly those handheld prompter controllers that TEGNA and FOX O&Os use. They’re literally all I can look at whenever I see them in use. You’d think due to their size they could motivate Autoscript to make a more discrete product.

Former WXYZ reporter Tara Edwards is suing both Scripps and Channel 7 for harassment by Morning Anchor Malcom Maddox... he’s now been pulled off the air indefinitely... earlier this year he was placed on leave for similar allegations... now they don’t have a lead anchor or a morning anchor... it’s a sinking ship...
