I'm not gonna post the video because it hasn't made it on-air yet, but WMC-TV could be switching to GrayONE this week, and from what I've seen, from the graphics to the music itself, it's one of my new favorite implementations.

I don't know, KWQC will be pretty hard to beat...

You said it yourself

While browsing on YouTube, it suggested WANF weather forecast -- I noticed the upper 3rd's have changed... It takes up a huge chunk of the top now...  This seemed to happen June 3rd...

WBAY has slowly been integrating the new typefaces and graphical style into their promos but haven't made the switch yet for the actual newscasts or weather (or my beloved, the weather subchannel)...which makes the rebranding of their formerly unbranded seven-day weather planner into the SUPER 7 DAY® with the current package very surprising.

ETA - They've adopted the 'weather in 7' format seen on other Gray stations.

I honestly think that WBAY has the best 24/7 weather subchannel in the entire country. Almost 20 years later and still going strong.

Also, WSAW Wausau adopted that "Every 7 Minutes" format not too long ago recently as well.

WYMT May soon be getting GrayOne, their 24/7 stream has a (GrayOne) background, their weather forecast discussions use GrayOne assets, and Barlow is seen in some weather slides. Could release about the same time as WSAZ. (Also, you can see GrayOne in the background of some WSAZ Forecast's.)

KAIT-TV in Jonesboro, AR made the switch to GrayONE today, and have replaced Inergy with Aerial.

Is there a reason they don't use the First Alert Weather branding?

I wouldn't know the answer to that, and I doubt it has anything to do with Jonesboro being adjacent to the Memphis media market (WMC uses First Alert branding for weather & traffic).

I had a peacock sighting on WMTV today!

Is Gray relaxing their moratorium on using network logos for NBC's coverage of the Olympics? Or did someone in WMTV's graphics department go rogue? 😆

Most likely to make NBC happy during the Olympics showing the Peacock logo & the Olympic rings. Even affiliates not used to branding like this like Graham-owned WDIV in Detroit show off the Peacock & the rings albeit not alongside their logo.

Kinda wish some of these logos were a bit different. This first alert logo looks like WKYT's logo but different colors1717029351299.thumb.jpg.f4d88f99534da7bc723de4ba2b09d5c9.jpg

They tweaked the Seven Day Forecast not too long ago to match the weather graphics.
