Had to Google their outgoing logo... This is an impressive change for a market their size!

That "M" almost looks exactly like the Motown logo.

It’s also now on Wikipedia. An impressive move by KMVT and a great logo! Although, the bottom looks like standard GDG text.

KMVT debuted the new logo on-air on Monday (October 23), but added it to their existing graphics:

A much needed improvement for the station! The station before was very low budget, and GrayONE is really helping that!

Apparently, Gray spent over $18 million on upgrades for the station as well.

Not sure how many stations other than WEWS have used "Live on Five", but it seems like an opportune move had KCTV gone that way...

Not to start a list, but I believe that WANF launched a "live on five" newscast recently.

Since KCTV is channel 5....

WEWS capitalized on their channel number (5) to launch their 5:00 p.m. show years ago.

There are a bunch of "Live AT Five" shows, but being on Channel 5 gives them the opportunity to brand their show as "Live ON Five"

Steve is such a flat VO. Can't emote at all.

Why should a Flat VO matter in this case, isn't the point of the voice-over to clearly introduce the newscast to the viewer? the lack of emotion is important in that case.

You want to have a main Voice actor that you can use across opens, topicals, POPs, and various campaigns. You don't use your main voice for just one thing, like opens.

came across this while browsing the web:

It appears (correct me if i am wrong) that WOIO/WUAB are beginning the switch to GrayOne. Additionally they are also using the same FIRST ALERT WEATHER  logo as WANF:

From what I have heard, the new KMOV studio opens next week for use. I am going to guess that GrayOne will accompany KMOV at the new studios.

If it's open for use, that doesn't necessarily mean broadcasts will start originating from there right away. Until an official date is announced by KMOV, take everything with a grain of salt.

They start broadcasting tonight (Sunday) at 10pm from the new building and studio.
