Saw this posted on Facebook. Seems like WOIO has either got a new set or updated the existing one. Practice is ongoing and will debut soon according to Meteorologist Samantha Roberts. Looks like no more green screen.... video wall it is.

Much improved. That cramped fake brick loft look was bad. I miss the big newsroom set. That looked big city.

Curious.. how is the anchor team working? The two leads, respectfully, seem minor league.

Since WOIO moved the weather office to another part, they might have more space to work with. Hopefully, WOIO gets a decent set this time around.

That is a beautiful set from the looks of it. Can’t wait to see the rest of it. Won’t critique it till I see all of it. But looks good it’s like an extension of the 12th street street side set...

There were more pictures on the website. I think it top notch and sleek. I wonder if this will be the model for all Gray stations?  Job well done 19!

I love it. Warm and fresh and not to trendy. The station finally seems to be turning a corner. Now they just need to get rid of their awful evening anchors.

Oh what's this? A new studio that actually meets TVNT's high standards? Better mail them an award. 😉

I wouldn't think so, although Gray has shown a willingness for their larger markets to have a unique image (see: WAVE graphics).

It makes me think...how would Gray handle a station in their home market if given the chance?

That's the good thing about those vertical LED panels.  They actually look like windows, giving the set much more perceived depth and the ability to virtualize it.   A plus given the cramped quarters that they have to deal with.
