WTVQ New logo

Looks like WTVQ is rolling out a newer "modified" logo and bringing back the "On Your Side" slogan. I personally would've like to seen Newschannel brought back as well.

Where did you find this? Is this real?

 

I'm asking because can't find this supposed "new" logo ANYWHERE. It's not on WTVQ's website, any of their social media pages, nor their FCC public file. Not only that, but a reverse image search turns up nothing.

It's real.

 

They are running a Valentines Day promo on air on the their website and they are using the new logo there.

WJW’s used the “Cleveland’s Own” slogan continually since 1988.

 

In fact, there’s another station that we all know of which uses their (very) long-standing slogan in their logo:

Looks like they got sick of being on the viewer's side and decided to instead tell them 'here is your news now, now shut up and watch!'

 

Seriously though, massive improvement; the box logo aesthetic just never aged well and finally the 36 can breathe. It's good for a square app icon, but now that we're moving into circle icons in the Google Play ecosystem they pretty much had to change. Expect many more logo changes of this type.

Old thing but... *Ahem* KWTV and KOTV In the 80s to 2010 included "The Spirit of Oklahoma" on their logos.

I do like the cleaner look of the logo... Some of these boxed and multi-colored logos just don't work anymore.. especially with certain graphics packages....
