  3. It looks good because they were provided a complete set of plans. Who sold them the plans? Russians? They didn't just copy it from some screen grabs and a trip to Home Depot. The "News Set Cartel" of the eastern bloc is alive.

  4. The problem here is she is trying to present a hard news approach and still be "upticking" and upbeat. It's just not working. As far as the guest "problem" that's a matter for whoever is supervising the guest bookings. If I was an NBC exec I would be royally pissed at Messing for screwing the company objective....but MK gets the blame for the stupid questions...and the bookers/ producers get to take the hit also. This show is completely doomed and needs to be destroyed by the end of the week. MK will be fine no matter what...she still gets paid.

  5. Or they could just blow all your minds ...and when you wake up you will have "2 Daddy's" or "2 Mommy's" anchoring. Maybe even toss in a new "Gender Fluid" sports person. How about some "blended" house pets?

  6. From 1992, a KTVK news tease and a promo: And from 1985, several newsbreaks from WGN:

  7. Saw the debut episode on the FB page and it's totally taped, just like here in ATL with the Late Feed on 11Alive. You can tell when the anchor tosses to weather at the top.

  10. KPNX WITH REAL NEWS! (Listen at 0:27!) And what appears to be an undiscovered TVbD package! This can't have lasted long because it falls between this: and the more familiar early 90s TVbD package...

  11. More like a gazillion of them. Keep watching. You'll see that when the lady is at the graphics computer, you can see some small previews of documents that are a bunch of less transitional KSAZ logo concepts... The F(10)X logo is definitely more in line with what other stations (KSAZ, WAGA) did after 1996, but what ended up happening was much more "complete" — the Impact News I era.

  12. Have you seen the 1996 station tour video? It may be one of the greatest TV news videos ever uploaded to YouTube. It also includes something super special beginning at 17:55...

  13. Here's the complete ABC Evening News from New Years 1975. However, I have the video set to start with a promo for the network's "fresh, new morning show"...that would last a whole 10 months. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=Ec0CPuWcgh4;m=21;s=22

  16. And whatever was going on behind the scenes with this seems to have been messy. Not long after posting it, Kozak removed his farewell Facebook Live video (in which he confirmed that it wasn't his decision to leave), and for all intents and purposes it appears the station management did not let him come back for his scheduled final newscasts at 5 and 10PM on the 24th.

  19. There's a good reason there's no Fox branding in that promo — this was during their three-month gap between network affiliations. EDIT: He had the date wrong. It's from March of 1995. So that concern is there. Later in '95 they dropped the "Channel" and became simply 10 News, but with the same graphics.

  20. Continuing ewjxn excellent series of Phoenix clips, here's a 1994 KSAZ promo (just after the station switched from CBS to Fox, but with no Fox branding in evidence -- also note the just-launched 9 p.m. Arizona Prime, later renamed Arizona Prime News, seen briefly in the promo):

  21. They've been airing the 11am news repeat at noon on 7.2 since WCL moved from 11am to 1pm. EDIT: TTYTT, I used to love 7.2 before they added Live Well. When they didn't air alot of ads at the time (late '08-early '09), during the breaks on the news repeats, they would air the classic "People Make A Difference" promos with the 10pm anchors, and later replaced with the "Your News, Your Way" promos.
